Well its fficially on for thursday evenings Heroes and Horrors (times will be in mountain time)

If your familiar with William Gibsons neuromancer and such it helps as does a number of movies like Johnny Mnemonic, Judge Dread, Blade Runner, Escape from Newyork, Predator, Alien, Josh Weadan and Tim Burtons discography we're on track. It Will be a heroes/aliens unlimited, ninjas and superspies, beyond the supernatural,Nightbane, dead reign game basically a darker horror judge dread sci fi thing where there are quarantine zones where the zombie apocalypse happened and cyberpunk/judge dread style cities. As well a mutants and other horrific things from all over...
that sounds like something i would be interested in playing, i will have to check my availability and see if i can play on thursday nights, but what time are you looking to start and end sessions, and what kind of characters are allowed are my main questions
well generally 5 or 6p.m. mountain time. Atm we have a humanoid bird person swordsman. A robotpilot/mech, a Nightbane hacker. Likely they will need mage or psi/lore type. And a demolitins/special forces.

Well the more things change the more they stay the same.the year is 2058. Welcome to the future Humans folly has wrought a very different though similar to the one you know. The History isnt much different upto current present these are the known fact they are either something you have learned in school. : The U.s. still exists but not as you would recognize it, There has been some separation and after a few bad administrations there are parts of it that are as bad as third-world countries. Then there was the Mutant registration act. the Hawaiian Islands became a autonomous safe zone. Mars Now has three colonies on it the biggest and most advanced is after the great Elon Musk:. Musk, Tesla and Century station A conglomerate of Bullishness's with Space Ex and Nasa Have numerous bases on the moon and 3 full cities. The new Luna city. There are 70 space stations 3 that are considered autonomous countries.. one which has become a famous resort and known as the Villa Straylight. The rich go to vacation. It is a tech haven And Run and maintained by its A.I. (who is a citizen of the United Nations ((under article 8679.309)). The "Preservation" Colony on Titan found a what can only be called an Alien space ship 2000ft beneath the ice. They Shipped its unknown drive system to the "International Space Station 3" When the drive was open up a mysterious crystal from the core of the drive caught sunlight which faceted through the crystal releasing a stream of strange enegey photons/particle/? which hit Pharmacoms (multi national corporation with ties to all the major pharmaceutical companies) station causing it to loose its geostationary orbit and break up in the atmosphere. 3 years after the event the "Zombie outbreaks happened starting near where the chunks of the "death-station" crashed. After the initial panic was dealt with quarantine death zones were implemented and world wide martial law was instituted. At present the living human population is 8 billion humans, 3 billion "Zombies and the undead" and 100 million unclassified The "Alien" refuge incident, the ship found buried in the ice in titan had a huge amount of "people" of unknown origin packed like a butchers freezer The stasis Chambers protected the people from most of the damage from the crash once a base line warming happened the fluid in these freezers allowed revivification of these "people" Most of the "people" were dressed in rags and after language barriers were somewhat crossed it was clear that most of the people were common folk from their societies. They all remember bright lights and having similar experiences to what the human have talked about/claim. A dome was built on titan named Babel And the U.N. gave the people who survived Sol citizenship. many corporations lobbied to get these people to join the technological communities. As they hope/d to gain any technological advantage over thier competitors. The Japanese mainland has become a Zombie quarantine zone.New Zealand Has become a "zombie dumping ground as it had the first break out. Yes zombie sheep exist.. Since the outbreak of "Zombie-ism" there has been a larger per ca-pita incidence of Mutation and other reactionary changes (nightspawn, psychics etc.. Some say as a direct evolutionary reaction to. 3d printers were a boon to some industries and death to others. In a supize move Tesla, Honda and Ford released blue prints/schematics for most of their main brands for a small fee of 5 dollars per Part You all come from different walks of life and have found your self in this dark dirty city. The city your in if you could call it that (its a decrepit remnant loosely connected to a bright and mostly corporate mega city of the great lakes of north america) Named Gotham (no ones sure where the name came from but for as long as you can remember its held that name. after some serious global warming the remnants of the former cities in the area are 10 to a 100 feet beneath the waves. The only law in this area is the law of the gun. The only time you see a "Street Judge" is when some ones caused the nice safe city a bit of discomfort.
Gaming With me paticulars: Topic 1.With ninjas and superspys and such the conversion is 1 base attack plus the martial art(not 2) plus boxing etc. +2 init, and a plus 1 to all combat stats and a minimum of plus 2 to hf. (usually plus 1 or 2 to perception from being a martial artist.). Gaming terms means the player is basically a worldly martial artist. ( A worldly martial artist has a 8%+2% per lvl chance to recognize a N&SS martial artist and the same percentage chance on the form and possibly its advantages and weakness's (may get a +1 or+2 vs's it in game terms). Topic 2.Combat:Sub section one. The bonus's from boxing and athletics and the like are only aplicable to hand to hand strikes not with weapons. I.E. a parrying with your arm/hand/leg/head would be your htoh bonus plus your prowess bonus, plus your boxing/ athletics bonus (plus possible power bonus's etc) Subsectoin 2. Hand to Hand weapons: Basic W.P.'s Use only the bonus from your w.p. to its level plus your P.P. bonus and that from powers. (e.g. ex Spd. gives a plus 2 to strike and 3 to parry so if you had wp sword at 3rd lvl ((roughly +2 to strike and parry)) and a pp of 30+ (so plus 8) : +12 strike and +13 to parry. Subsection 3. Weapon katas(the rewards of spending the skills and years to specialize) allow you to add your htoh bonus to your weapon bonus's. Again this doesnt include fista cuff stuff like boxing and athletics. Still if you have the +12 strike and +13 to parry and add another +2 or three from your htoh it makes a difference. Subsection 4. Targeting and energy expulsion powers. most have a base plus 3 which is added to your P.P. bonus (the aforementioned 30pp would make it a +11.) You can if you have the room take W.P. targeting to add a bit more. There are some powers that add to it as well. Topic.2 Modern Weapons. Subsection 1. Most Modern weapons fall under the base of a +3 on an aimed and +1 on a burst and cut out the negative penalty of minus 6 for shooting wild at first level. (grenades go by another listing as well as missile launchers). then at 3rd or 4th get another bonus. (considering your opponents have a minus 6-10 to dodge there is very little else that adds to this unless you have sharp-shot or a power that gives you a bonus to ranged attacks. Subsection 2: Sharp shot: I'm going to streamline it to this it's either the init bonus if your a gunfighter or these:(not both) which is a +1 at an p.p. of 18, then another +1 at 22, +1 at 26, +1 at 30, +1 at 34, +1 at 38 and so on. (so the aforementioned 30pp would be a +4 , added to 2 from htoh would be +6 for the first round then back down to +2 for the next ((the bonus from his htoh.)) Subsection 3:Grenades use the W.P. Bonus plus your P.P. bonus. (and possibly targeting bonus's). Subsection 4:Rpg/law rocket launchers Use W.P.Heavy in a pinch wp grenade can be used but with out the pp bonus. Subsection 5 Missile launchers fall under W.P. Heavy Subsection 6. Rail guns fall under W.P. Heavy Subsection 7.Power Aurmor Railguns fall under W.P. Heavy (glitterboy boom gun for example) Subsection 8.Anti tank laser rifles and Such fall under W.P. Heavy Energy Subsection 9.Usually for mecha/vehicle strike bonus's i use the Weapon systems bonus's and possibly bonus 's from targeting systems so +1 from a targeting sight and another 1-3 from the rest of the systems. there are rare occasions that the gunnery seats are so advanced that you get to add your wp Heavy or Heavy energy bonus's (like robotech equipment or cyberjacked equipment and the like) Topic 3. Weapons and damage: Subsection 1 Damage and strength: Whether MDC or SDC? theres only 3 types of strength Normal Human, Superhuman/enhanced and supernatural: -(S.D.C. Worlds) -Human strength is self explanatory -SuperHuman/Enhanced: The super powers of superhuman and extra ordinary strength, Bionics, (though there are exceptions for lesser and better in this instance), Crazies Juicers, any thing that list it as such. does double the dice damage plus the p.s. damage bonus . I.E. a 1d6 (plus p.s./martial art,etc). punch would do 2d6 (plus p.s./martial art,etc) (the aforementioned 51 p.s. in superhuman would do 2d6+36 on a punch and 2d10+36 on a powerpunch.) Supernatural P.S. is as listed in heroes page 294. So..the aforementioned 51 in supernatural would do 2d4*10+36 -M.D.C.. Goes By the strength tables in the conversion book. -In S.D.C. Its the type of strength and damage bonus plus the weapons damage. thus a 51 human using a 2d6 sword would do 2d6+36 with a sword. In MDC settings they do the damage from supernatural or enhanced p.s. plus the weapons damage. So a 51 supernatural ps punch of 1d6x10 plus a vibro sword 2d6 (of-coarse he's likely to break the sword after one or two swings) would be 1d6x10+2d6 or 12d6. if you have normal human strength its just the weapons damage bonus. The assumption that some how force is platues goes against the laws of physics , the real world example is the new rail-gun/electromagnetic propulsion technology. (then again a g.b.'s rate of acceleration should make that a minimum 10 mile range gun. Subsection 2.As for speed damage bonus's In sdc i use the standard +4 per 20mph ?In mdc games I use the old heroes conversion write up which is 1d4 md for every 25mph after 100mph so 100mph 1d4 md, then 125mph 2d4 (or 1d6+2). still even adding 1 or 2 md for something hitting an ultra hard substance like any md surface is pretty decent then again a good amount of sdc can still knock an mdc person on their ass (if thier not braced for impact that is) even if it doesnt damage them. Topic 4.SKill's and skill Questions Subsection 1. Some skills dont exist period: kickboxing as a phys skill is a no its just a munchkin skill. Aerobics (is part of the athletics skill and discription it doesnt exist nor add additional bonus's. You cannot take ambidexterity as a skill you can train your self to use weapons and such in either hand as in paired weapons and such i dont apply minus's for wrong hand either. you can roll at the start for your character if you want to see what handedness. Subsection 2. Plyometrics like many martial art exorcises its kinda limited for availability. If you have a defined martial art (ninja's and superspy's or are a gladiator class its not easilly obtained. For those it can be taken as 1 skill and can not be taken as a secondary (though can be taken as a level up skill (like get's 2 at third))). For other characters it can only be taken as a o.c.c.(r.c.c./p.p.c. etc) or o.c.c. related skill. Heroes and other type educations can take it in a skill program. Topic 5.(R.U.E. Does Not Exist) (powers unlimited 2 doesn't exist)(neither does the options from heroes of the megaverse)(rifters and stuff are limited, always clear it before you add it to your character)(Also the new northern gun stuff has to be negotiated as they arent as high-tech as Wilks ((story-line based))so they wouldn't be able to produce any of that stuff in any amount other then single trial editions. Subsection 1. Super powers: Any of the minor immune to powers dont exist in my game period if its part of a major then thats different. Zombie flesh is a no go, as are a number of others (basically if it has the combination of a few others like some of the newer aps's then it doesnt exist you want that plan your character around the two powers it is (this is mainly about major supers) ) Concepts are fine and there will be leeway . . Subsection 2:Certain powers like the create force constructs are split into 2 majors one will be the limbs and such with its supernatural strength and animals (basically the same effects the rest is just style changes. the other will be the weapons one both ranged and mellee (similar to a matter expulsion). Subsection 3:Now on to matter expulsions: they do not give you any stat bonus's asside from offsetting thier own weight/ incomberance (its a munchkin thing in my mind with them as listed) all of them lose 20 s/m.d.c. but go up 10 per level (reflecting the owners ability and skill in making them more skill fully. Also i've added a little more to the power in that you can aurmor other people (no environmental stuff unless thier carrying it)((gas mask/oxygen tanks and warm clothes etc.)). (same as basic aurmors and s/mdc +5 per level). As well as the ability to arm others (note the weapons do the same as normal of thier type in others hands i.e. a 1d6 knife does 1d6 ((md if in an md world)). The range that the makers constructs stay is 100ft +10 ft per level then the just turn to nothingness (back into air particles or such Subsection 2.Energy Expulsion's Minors. (plasma doesnt exist as well as some others that are just amped up combos of others. Range looses 100ft But Gain 25ft per lvl. Particle exceleration it goes up by 2 per lvl Subsection 3.Sonic speed starts at 500mph but increaces at 50 per lvl (and it should be noted that with the exception of superluminal flight and aps light and stuff like line transit, that regardless what is written in the p.u.'s sonic speed and sonic flight will always be the fastest in thier perspective domains all others will be reduced the other powers will have cool styles of travel but thats it.) Subsection 4. Nightspawn(bane) will only be only basic educations. If you want to become a sorcerer nightspawn you can achieve it in game (it will be niether harder nor easier in game development is something i encourage actually) and nightspawn only regenerate 1d10 per mellee. Topic 6. Demi god's thing. terminology. godlings and demi-gods (the words are change as in what they stand for Godlings is used for (what the pantheons book calls) demigod and visa versa. Its a mechanics thing with me for the structure i have set up for the game. The Godling/demi-god power of "Energy Blast goes up as per the minor super of Energy expulsion of the same type (i.e. ex light 2d6+1d6 per lvl. 500ft plus 50ft per lvl.) Another note on it is that since its partially deific in nature imp. to energy and the like would take half damage not be immune to it. in the same way it would damage ghosts/astral beings (half damage as well.). Super tough adds+2d6 per level to mdc (so base mdc per level of 2d6+2d6 from super tough).so 4d6 per lvl (though the only the 2d6 regular bonus would be r1's). As with the other listing the impervious to selection doesnt exist a resist to (half damage would be fine). Super swift: adds a and auto-dodge (+2 to auto-dodge) so the standard rules apply only p.p. bonus +2 from super swift (of-coarse if you got htoh commando the 6th lvl +2 would add. So with pp30 and super-swift and htoh commando at 6th that would have a +12 to auto-dodge)((a whopping +2 to dodge bullets)). The Psionics are unchanged Magic powers selections are changed the most as when picking a magic powers thing. Spell selections are as per the class not all 1st, second at second etc. though if its a magic selection that can buy/learn spells so to can the demi-god even if thier a special forces or what ever. They still need to put the in game time for them though. Also you dont get stat bonus's from a selection. (if its the demi-god occ thats different.). As for P.P.E. the player with magic o.c.c.'s and a magic power pick would use the highest of the p.p.e.'s from the magic class's not both added together. that and the base from thier demi god or godling bonus. You can ofcoarse pick which one gives you the most (not both)p.p.e. per level and use that one.
