Welcome to the Tabletop Forge Community!

If you haven’t heard , the Tabletop Forge Community is joining us here at Roll20. What’s this mean? For Current Roll20 Users: We’ll keep on doing what we’re doing, and Joshuha Owen (Tabletop Forge’s lead developer) is joining our moderation team. The benefits to us are many-- Joshuha’s got a lot of good ideas and a background in both roleplaying games and programming that is sure to help us make new connections and innovations moving forward. Most of all, Joshuha is a Google+ enthusiast in a way that few others can match, and we’re sure he’s going to help expand our community in those... circles (haha, G+ humor). For New Roll20 Users, from Tabletop Forge: Hey, welcome! There’s a bunch of information about the transition that’s being sent to you in various places (particularly if you were a TTF Kickstarter backer), but the most important thing to say is that we’re really happy to have you here. We’re hopeful that you’ll help us to help you in making more games possible for more players! For Everyone in Online Roleplaying: One of the reasons Joshuha joining us here at Roll20 came about is the overlap in what we were doing. We were both focused on an easy-to-use, lightweight program for tabletop gaming. That said, we continue to believe that Roll20 won’t be the perfect solution for everyone. There are other programs out there, still. If what we’re doing here doesn’t work for you, pursue those other options. If we’re CLOSE to what you need, but not quite there... be active! We love polite feedback and collaboration between users to make this a better place. So join in. And if we’re just awesome and you love us... hey, thanks! :)
This is rather entertaining... I was just thinking about this when I found roll20 recently after backing TTF. I loved TTF concept and idea and when I found roll20 I was pretty happy and was thinking, these two would work well together. Then look what happens. I'm happy to hear this, just curious now what I will get as a backer.
We'll be sending out more info directly to TTF backers via KS later today about how their backing of TTF will translate over to Roll20. But our goal is to honor TTF backers as if they had pledged to our own KS.
Thank you for working to honor the TTF KS.
What if we backed both?
@Xardion I mean, you'll basically be getting the "best" of both worlds, then? E.g. whatever art assets you pledged on the TTF KS + whatever you've been getting from us...drop us a line team@roll20.net if you have a specific question about it :-)
Excited about this as a TFF backer, and Roll20 user (since I missed the kickstarter for Roll20.)
@Tommy R. As you can see your badge has already been added :-)
I know .... loving it. I know there will be a few disappointed TFF people ..... but this made my day. @Riley, the only confusion I am having is what is happening with my account here ... do I still on the free account? Do I get a few months of the paid account? Ect...
A mass influx of gamers into the Roll20 Community? Priceless! I think that this will be great for everyone. :)
So far I like what I'm seeing, will have to run something though before declaring my undying love for Roll20 :D
Looking forward to putting this through its paces.Moving over from TTF now ;) Wondering where else once can see where there badges are besides posting in a forum. But I'm still having to be positive :)
Thanks for picking up TTF users! I liked what they were doing over there and happy that Joshua can continue working towards providing a VTT. I'm glad that we can find a home, it's very cool of you and Joshua to have worked this out. Less scrupulous people would have just drifted off into the wind. Looking forward to playing.
Wondering where else once can see where there badges are besides posting in a forum. As we tweak social features, you'll see it show up a few more places. And we do make an effort to recognize our Kickstarter backers when the chances arise-- and as far as we're concerned (once we get art pledges from TTF fulfilled) there's little difference going forward as to who supported which campaign. We're in this together.
"Your Roll20 Account Has Been Upgraded Thanks To Your TTF Pledge" What difference has my " FULL BACKPACK" ($20) TTF pledge made to my Mentor Roll20 account? Only asking as I cant seem to find any difference.
"Your Roll20 Account Has Been Upgraded Thanks To Your TTF Pledge" What difference has my "FULL BACKPACK" ($20) TTF pledge made to my Mentor Roll20 account? Only asking as I cant seem to find any difference. You'll be getting the art assets as we get them imported. So the same things you were going to get on TTF, you'll get on here.
works for me :)
Hey guys, over here from TTF. Excited to be here, I need to set up my first campaign and try this out.
Hey! Okay, so. How do I merge the TTF account to this one? EDIT: IT'S MAGIC!
Yeah Riley is good at making magic happen :)

Just wanted to say that I'm already loving the overall feel of roll20, the ability to have pre-setup map pages is huge, I also like the soundtrack area. A suggestion for the sound area, it would be great to be able to reorder the tracks via drag and drop like you can the pages. Extra XP if you could make collapsable/expandable grouping hierarchy. And a question about the video windows. Can they be moved? I would suggest locating them up at the top (or at least an option too) so that we are looking at the camera when we are talking to our friends rather than looking down. Its a little thing, but making eye contact is a nice thing. Thanks, D
Well I guess this is one way to collect forum badges... :)
Quick post from another TTF backer, I made a roll20 account a few days ago (before I found out about the TTF merge) and it hasn't automatically upgraded my account? Would it be possible to pay a little extra to upgrade my account to Mentor status, I like the idea of being able to try new features?
Drone email team@roll20.net with your TTF KickStarter and Roll20 email addresses they will get the accounts linked :)
Drone-- send us a line via team@roll20.net; we'll need the e-mail you pledged with for TTF and what you're using here at Roll20.
Just came over from TTF kickstarter. Never heard of Roll20, but this looks hella promising! I'm excited to be here!
Glad to be here.
I backed TTF post the Kickstarter. Does this mean I wont see the benefits? I switched my campaign to roll20 last week, before the announcment. Roll20 offered all the stuff I was waiting for, and was, like many, too impatient. I love the site, and am considering subscribing, I am just waiting to find out whats up with the money I pledged to TTF in the beginning of January.
@Gorby Drop us a line at team@roll20.net and tell us what email you registered with for Roll20 and the info regarding your pledge. You'll get the same rewards.
To Bad the Backer accounts do not have enough room for all the TTF tokens and maps and other.
@RedBat Any art assets from the TTF Kickstarter will be hosted by our server, meaning they will not count toward your quota.
Is there a way to mass delete them cause I uploaded my limit. figured it should fit. there is 1500+ tokens 1 at a time is not cutting it
So what benefits are we TTF backers getting? I never received an email, nor a reply from the email I sent to team@roll20.net with both emails.
it was the one thing i didn't think of (Click the pic) Ugh i'm an idiot. after playing with the app for a few hours now its nice from what i have seen. looking forward to seeing what can be done after some time to master. thanks guys
@ Troy we get everything we paid for in TTF on the market place. plus with backer account a few other perks. its awsome that the Roll20 guys would do that for TTF. If you used your E-mail that you backed with to sign up here it should of auto linked the backer to you. if not I would suggest hitting up TTF on Their google+ Josh was a big help in getting it linked for me. have a good day Troy W. good luck in the transition.
@Troy W. Sorry for the delay. Lots of accounts to handle, just sent you an email you are all set. Welcome to Roll20!
@Richard Got the email and everything is working. Thank you!
