Looking for a DM For D&D 5e

For Storm Kings Thunder on Friday nights at 6:30 Central Standard Time (GMT-5). We have a party, and played the first session. However, the DM had to bow out, because he is having to move. Please let me know if you are interested.
If the problem is that I want to run STK, let me know, and we can maybe pick something else.
I've had a lot of people look at my post, is there a reason no one has sent me anything.
your not the only one not getting replies, i have 3 groups looking for a gm
I wish I at least knew why was my point.
yeah, its not that simple. we dont have detailed posts becuase we dont have a setting we want a gm to run or something like that. i have a game of dnd, shadow run and a game of mutants and master minds i cant get a gm to join
That sucks. Good luck finding some
What's your group like? What are your players play styles? How many players do you have and who are their characters? What kind of DM are you looking for? And when are you looking to meet?
What ruleset did you use for your characters? Are you wanting to play in an AL game so you can take your characters to other AL games and/or conventions? Do you need someone to recruit more players or is your group complete? Do you have a consistent day and time that you meet or do you require that the DM coordinate around everyone's schedules?

Some of these "additional questions" others are asking are already in the post I'm seeing.  *SKT-this would hint to 5e for the rule set. * Friday Nights *6:30 Central * Has a full group. Just seeing a comment asking for each answer already posted. No mention of AL,  so I'd assume this is not an adventure league game. It looks like these guys just want a DM. Now for the playstyles of your players and what kind of DM,  that is a good question not addressed, nor is the Number of players this group has ready.  Not trying to sound mean,  but why are you asking questions for the answers already given? I'd offer to DM for you guys,  but all of my games are full at the moment, and I don't have any additional days I can dedicate to run on.
I think one of the reasons you are having a hard time is that most DM's I have met and played with prefer to pick their own players. I know i would never DM for a group of people if I had no idea of playstyle and expectations.

I know i would never DM for a group of people if I had no idea of playstyle and expectations. Then why view the listing though? I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, but if the only game someone would be willing to run is one where they picked the game and players, then why would you be looking in a thread for an already existing party needing a new DM. I suppose I'd just like feedback, at least occasionally. I don't know, not trying to be rude, it's just frustrating. The only people who have responded, its like they didn't pay any attention to the game listing at all, one guy got angry at me when he applied to run the game and then realized that the listed time was 2:30 in the morning for him.
I looked because the header do not state what you want a DM for, some people post looking for collabs or they are players looking for a game. As a DM I like to look at the forum posts so I can have players in mind for whatever game I am running/planning to run. Since you asked what seemed like a sincere question I answered it.
Fair enough, but I more meant the plural you not the singular you. Also the header can only be so long. If you’re looking in the LFG post for players, why look in a listing looking for a DM?   Im just frustrated by it, sorry. I’ve  had 180 views and like 5 people respond. If everyone thinks how you do, I guess that’s ok. But it seems unlikely to me. If it’s the game or time that I’ve picked, I’d like to know because those things may be changeable.

My apologies for asking when you were looking to meet when it was already listed. It was early in the morning for me, and pre-coffee. My other questions however remain unanswered. But let me introduce myself. Hello! My name is James. I've been DMing for ten years now over a variety of systems including D&D 3.5, 4th, 5E, Pathfinder, and Cortex Plus. I don't have a lot of experience DMing 5th edition games, mostly because I can't convince my table to make the switch from Pathfinder (a game I've been running for five years now, so understandably they're all terribly invested in their characters and their abilities). I'm looking to get more experience DMing 5th because when that game does end, I want to start a new one in 5th or maybe several. I've read Storm King's Thunder and I liked it. I'm interested in DMing for you guys if you're still looking for a DM but I have a few questions first. Namely because, my not knowing you guys at all means that I do not know what your play styles are like, or what your personalities are like, and it's been my experience that not all players / DMs are compatible. So please, allow me to ask: What is your group like? What is the general sense of humor at the (virtual) table? What's the typical attention span look like? Are they dedicated gamers or are they playing LOL or trying to write a novel while joining us for the game? What's the party's playstyle? Do you prefer socialization, exploration, or combat? Are you guys the hack and slash type? The murder hobo type? The narrative storytelling type? The complicated intrigue type? Or a little bit of everything? How many people are in your party and what are their characters like? What is the group's character dynamics? What are their backstories? What are their hooks into the plot of STK? What requirements do you have for a DM other than willingness and availability? I can see that you played a single session of STK, but where did that leave you in the story? Where are you looking to pick up from? These are all points that might need to be considered before a random stranger on the internet, like myself, would be able to properly declare interest in running a game for you. That said, I am interested, but I definitely require more information to go on than what's in the original posting, so feel to drop me a line, or better yet, post your reply so that if you decide not to go with me other DMs have those questions answered. Thanks,  James
In regards to what the party is like, there are currently five players. I’d say the playing style is between casual and serious. Three of us know each other in real life, myself, my brother, and Ike. The other two were just random pickups, one of which played the first session, and the other is a replacement after one person quit unknowingly. I don’t think anyone is a murder hobo, I tend to enjoy lighter combat and a good stormy, as does my brother. in terms of party makeup, we have a Druid, Barbadian, monk, paladin I think and I don’t remember the other. As for hiw how far we’ve made it, we just got to nightstone. We really just had a zero session.
We're still looking. Please let me know if Anyone is interested. If you have any questions regarding the game, please let me know, and I will be glad to answer them,
If you don't mind a foreign accent, I could DM your group. I have quite a bit of experience being a DM, even here in roll20. Could we talk on Discord, soonish? Send me a pm, if you and the group are willing to give and ancient Finn a try!
