Ron, Rurrick, Cassius, and Ailekk were finishing up their meeting with Dedrick, druid, mage-killer, and servant of the Raven Queen. Before leaving asks, “Where is the Sahiva muscle man?” “I need to speak to him at some point about his brother. My Queen is much displeased with Behyla’s… life choices.” “Anyways, you have a mage. You let me know, I’ll make them less of a mage. Also, beware of some semi-intelligent undead-constructs they have in these lands. They are strange creatures who are not liches, vampires or any other known type of undead but a cross between the undying and constructs. They retain their knowledge of life bound to both physical forms and magically crafted materials. My queen has not yet decided what to do with these creatures, but the outlook isn’t pleasant.” “I probably shouldn’t send my servants with you into town proper, they will be suspicious. The Dree currently think they are above reproach from my Queen, but they are wrong. They don’t fear here but this is not the time to be making waves. A herald or more than one raven by your side might draw suspicion. However, when you see ravens in this city you can assume my allies are close by, you can go to them to relay matters back to me or gain support.” “While my queens aren’t allies or friends, they are not enemies. They share enemies.” “If you manage to kill any intelligent undead, regardless of the methods, I am authorized to pay you a sizeable fee.” The company part ways. Ailekk was on top of the roof when he noticed some incorporeal undead creatures. When they got close to him, one of them went after him and he ducked inside the tavern. Asking the bartender, he said that Visitor’s Paradise was a good place to go. At first they decided to stay and drink all night, but after Dedrick left, they decided to go. On the streets they noticed Iggy, she was accompanying a couple from “Umbaroth” with some slaves. She didn’t see to recognize them. As they left, she told them to visit the local visitor’s bureau to get assistant from “another Iggy”. They were looking for an inn of repute, and decided to approach the first with “ill repute” due to some shady looking people standing out front. There were 4 beefy looking NPCs, 4 less beefy looking NPCs, and a couple of tieflings, one older woman tiefling and a young man. Three of them approached the party, Rurrick charmed one of them, and they seemed to know Cassius under the name of Gurrock. Apparently he made a name for himself killing slavers as a member of the military of Indra (he denied that he knew of the name “Gurrock”, but some of the other stuff rang true with Ron). The group were sure they knew Cassius, while Ron mentioned something about #notalltieflings. Rurrick noticed an Iggy out in the nearest junction, calling their names. Apparently Urd had been captured by a local Dragonknight and underworld figure named Jendra Faine by her half-ogre brute thug named “Bif”. The party accompanied Iggy to the tavern where Urd had been abducted, with the hideout nearby. They hideout was a giant house with 50 some odd skeletons plus other things inside around defending it. Iggy discovered an underground tunnel and they decided to go that route vs a direct assault. They went through an underground tunnel, escaping a zombie beholder, and went into some tunnels where they fought a wraith and a couple of specters with the mace of disruption being voted MVP. Rurrick turned into a small spider and is currently hiding somewhere on Ron’s body without his knowledge as they venture further into the dungeon. They have just stumbled across a room with… [End]
