Hello!
I'm a GM looking for players who would be willing to playtest my homebrewed game called Mystica.
It's set in a low-fantasy world that is inspired by the ancient world
(think rome, egypt, babylon).
It borrows a lot of mechanics from the early editions of DnD (1st, 2nd
and 3rd ed) but with a progression system similar to that of the TES
games (i.e. you increase skills which in turn will slowly improve your
attributes). Magic is (somewhat) rare and toned down, focusing more on
utility than damage dealing.
The adventure is set in a large buried ruin known for hidden treasure and
monsters. Close to it is a small town that has become a hotspot for
gathering adventurers. Each session would be a foray into the ruins,
ending with the party's safe return (or untimely demise). I've
structured it this way to make it easy to add and remove characters from
the party (some adventurers need a break after all), and allow players
to drop in and out without disrupting the narrative.
The game is playable but not perfect. There is however a limit to
how far I can get on my own without playtesting, and if you can tolerate
some occasional rule hiccups then perhaps you can help me improve on my
creation... and have a ton of fun in the process!
Regarding time: I live at CET (GMT+1), the days and hours that I have available for roleplay are:
Tuesdays: 18-21
Thursdays: 18-21
Saturdays: Any time (almost)
Feel free to PM me or reply to this thread if you have any questions or feedback.
