Hello folks! I've been doing some thinking and due to shifting around in my schedules/the opening up of several time slots in my schedule, I'd like to look for one more game. I have a few nights open through the week, and more nights open if the game were played on a biweekly basis. That said, let me get in to what I'm looking for specifically before I start throwing dates and times around: I'm looking for a Mutants & Masterminds 3rd Edition game. I cannot stress how much I love this system; it's extremely flexible and I've seen it work for a number of settings/themes and characters. The idea of being able to make exactly the character in my head without being restricted by set class archetypes and such is amazing, and the fact that unlike games like City of Mists (which is an amazing setting with, in my opinion, a lack-luster system), there are actual numbers involved in character creation so there are "measuring sticks" to figure out relative strength and such makes me very appreciative of the system itself. I would like the game to be very small, as in there are two players (one of which would be myself) and one GM. I feel like in something RP Heavy and narrative driven, the fewer players, the better. I've seen RP heavy games work well with larger groups, but a smaller group almost always seems to go better and allows for more adaptability and less tug-of-war over what direction things will go in even if characters have very different agendas. This would be my first duo game, but I find the idea intensely appealing, due to the likelihood that players can bounce role play off of each other rather than inundating the GM constantly like what happens in a solo, or having their RP attempts get lost/ignored like what happens so often in bigger groups. For setting and theme, I'm looking at a modern time frame, but am very open on the scope of the game. We could play smaller, street-level heroes ala Daredevil and Jessica Jones, or we could step up to X-Men or something similar. I'd like to avoid going too over the top with them starting out at an Avengers-level of world protecting, primarily because the big shiny heroes are always more fun as NPCs, in my opinion. Give me the nitty gritty of normal people who just got blessed/cursed with a gift and now have to figure out how to live with it over spandex and capes and alien invasions any day. To Summarize: Looking for: 1 GM + 1 Player System: M&M 3E Timezone: EST Days: Thursday, Friday, Sunday (weekly) Monday (biweekly) Time: Evenings (6-8 PM start time) Setting: Modern day feel, open beyond that Game Style: RP Heavy, Narrative-Driven. IE ROLE-play, rather than roll-play.
