Magical Girls Interest Check

Hello I'm Wolf and is a big fan of anime specifically Shojo(Magical Girl anime) and is looking for people to help me make a game system focus on mahical girls and boys. It would entitle a dark setting(think Puella Magi Modaka Magica or Gatchaman Crowds) several factions of monsters classes to really make your Magical Char unique and other stuff. I really need help as I'm not the brightest person in terms of math or mechanics, but I'm really didicated to making this work.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...this is relevant to my interests. Especially since you brought Madoka Magica up, one of my favorite animes ever. I don't really think Crowds is all that dark though, but it's all good. So, do you have any idea of what system to use for a game like this? If not, may I suggest Mutants & Masterminds? That game is very well suited for any genre where the heroes have superhuman powers.
Big Eyes, Small Mouth should be right up your alley.
if you want to stick to games with open game licenses I would like to put d20 anime on your radar. but that being said, I'm roll20's biggest Mutants and Masterminds Third Edition/DC Adventures/www.d20herosrd.com fanboy.

I donna I was thinking making my own but I'm not really famlier with Roll20 but I still wanna make this I have so many ideas.
If you want to focus o magical girls (sadly, not boys), then I suggest a small system called Magical Burst Rewrite. It's pretty much a system for playing as Magical Girls. If you're looking for something else then, I could suggest, like others, Big Eyes, Small Mouth, d20 anime or OVA (Open Versatile Anime) systems.

Personally I'd just use one of the many systems already available and tweek it to your needs if necessary. But hey, if you'd rather make your own, more power to ya. Perhaps think of using a system that's very easy to customize, I've already brought up M&M, but I think games like Savage Worlds or Fate are good choices too. Also, if you really want to make the game rather dark in tone I'd introduce a sanity system (or something similar). That way horrific experiences leave lasting mental scars on the characters, which should really help setting the tone. After all, in Madoka Magica they had to fight all kind of almost indescribable monstrosities that would shatter the mind of any sane person. And another thing: sacrifices. Madoka Magica was very big on the idea of having to make great sacrifices to get what you want. Perhaps do something similar, where the player character have to make great sacrifices in order to get their powers? Preferably something that leaves a lasting impact and might haunt them throughout the campaign. After all, Madoka Magica was a psychological story and a tragedy, so there has to be plenty of drama. I hope that gave you a couple of ideas to work with. Personally I'd love to play a game like this, but that probably won't happen anytime soon. But that doesn't mean I can't help other people run a game like this, right?
could be fun. but repeating the chorus of "don't reinvent the wheel" find what's out there, and fiddle with it. shoot, even a WH40kRPG hack in the vein of Adeptus Evangelion could work.
Well I really don't know I suppose for simplicity sake we can go with a system and just edit it to fit a magical boy/girl theme I prefer being a boy and magical girls I meant as a general term so I could stop typing boy/girl.
If you eventually get a game going, I'd definitely be interested in this.
