Trouble with Devin's Tokens

Hi, I know this had been an ongoing issue in the past. Uniquely, this board closes the threads rather than encouraging us not to start new ones so a new one it is. The token's I downloaded from Devin's site have too much transparency which makes them too small when snapped in the grid. The tokens on the marketplace work but I don't like having to play 20 questions with a search engine to get them in. The idea of tagging and/or downloading hundreds of tokens (and remembering their tags) is not appealing. I like having them in a folder on my computer as large icons so I can select visually and drag onto the map. I am new to this software so perhaps I am missing something since the threads related to this issue seem to have dropped off since August. I also wanted to buy his Kickstarter pack but not if all the icons will be swimming in the boxes. Thanks for the help! I should be able to get by for our first "test" game this Friday but I would like to have a better system for working with these assets in the long term. Regards, Chris

Could you clarify what your question is?
1. Is there an easy way to handle the size of the downloaded tokens 2. Why are they different than whats in the market 3. Is there an easier way to capture the free items in the market besides one at a time tagging? 4. If I buy the kickstarter package through his website does it still give a code to use on those same icons on the marketplace (for size) The rest is just griping.

1) Could you elaborate on what you mean by 'handle the size of the downloaded tokens'? 2) You will have to contact Devin Night (probably through his website) and ask him. 3) You can tag multiple items at once in your campaign. Open your campaign, click on the "Art Library" tab, and click on the black star. In the window that pops up click on "Your Purchases" Select all images you want to tag with the same tag and then tag them at once. 4) No. Devin Night's website is separate from Roll20.
1. By size of the token I meant the area the transparency takes up vs the size of the image enclosed. Ideally the transparent base would be at a 5' scale relative to the scale of the image. That is not always possible but it should not have needless margins relative to the image scale. I think that the way that tokens are handled on the map is something Roll20 can look at to make it more friendly to a variety of art. Defining a center point of a token and a size in squares to over-ride the default behavior would largely fix any issues with images snapping on the grid. I will put this suggestion into the suggestions area after I have some time to think about it and make sure it will survive review. As for #2 and #4 when this same issue was discussed in August there was dev involvement to get things updated on the market. Also, there was a code to get the items on the market place as well as his pack also indicated in this forum. That is why I brought them up. I will contact Devin regarding these issues through his website if I can. The down side to not being able to comment into the original threads is that continuity is lost.

You can re-edit images in a program like Gimp to remove excess transparency. It is what I do when there is too much transparency. You can always link the old thread in the new one so you have continuity. There is Dev involvement getting things updated on the market but that does not extend to his personal website which is what your question involved. As for the code, I think that was if you had purchased it on his website you could use them here. Not here to website which is what your question was about.
