Never used nested macros before, I tried setting this up according to the wiki: but all it prints out is this:

The format for Macros is #Macroname rather than #{Macroname}. The format for Abilities is %{Charactername|Abilityname} Also, if the goal is to choose the highest roll you can combine the two rolls by doing the following: /r 2d20kh1 @{Dex} +@{Level}

Are spaces allowed within Charactername for calling abilities? E: I think this was the problem. I was trying to link to a character using a dash instead of a space, since thats how it works everywhere else

Yes, you can put a space in a character's name.
