GM of 2 campaigns - But I only have 1.

This is small taters, but i thought I'd bring it up anyway.  I initially made a game back a while back, deleted it, then made the current one.  Though my profile says I am the GM of 2 games.
Yeah, it'll show all of the campaigns you've made. Even if you deleted them. I would like for deleted campaigns to go away as well.
Alternative: As much as people tend to be averse to accountability, the more "campaigns" compared to the time frame, while not conclusive, is a factor to consider for someone looking for stability. Clarification/illustration. Exchange the acronym "GM" for the word 'spouse' and then replace the word 'campaign' with the word 'marriages'. Alternately, "Boy/Girlfriend".
Well at the very least then, the listing should say something like "N Campaigns, M are currently Active".
@Dr Pepper: Agreed: More precise, and fair. Hopefully this awareness will mitigate the flake factor as well. Continuity and stability are key. May encourage better overall structure and 'truth in advertising' as well. Example: The ongoing one shot intros to CashFinder. Fair, explicit. If someone gets butt hurt after that, well, they should have actually read the pitch.
Excuse me... but the number of campaigns created has no bearing at all on whether a DM/GM is a flake or a stable GM. So kindly go bugger off with that kind of attitude.
Right. I too am planning to do some one shots as a way of getting people to try my game, since some people are leery of homebrew. Hmm, now i'm thinking it should be "N Campaigns, M Completed, L Currently Active".
@JTB: TM is not saying that they have that kind of attitude, they're concerned that others may have it an unfairly stigmatize someone.
"... compared to the time frame, while not conclusive , is a factor to consider for someone looking for stability." No bearing at all? Not even a possibility? Not ever? Gamers, i.e. PEOPLE are NEVER indecisive, or waffle, or mercurial, or inattentive or etc. etc. Power corrupts. I think you're safe.   Preesh the Ghandi DP.
Heh.  The phantom campaign was one I created just to see how the creation process worked the day I made an account.  It was never a 'game'. I sure didn't expect to get flamed over it.
Bit dramatic, no?
Oh no, I am not whining.  I think it would be kind of..  interesting...  to have a GM of 110, None Active.  I just never expected it to be a topic that was viewed in such a way.
Well, as stated previously, it is a   factor. It would be likewise imprudent to dismiss a prospect out of hand. Mitigation you know. I suppose if the game sought was 'find a game' or 'argue about games' or 'join as many games as possible', then Mr./Ms. 110 might be just the ticket. For people who want to do something 'crazy' and actually play an RPG, process of elimination then. Interesting s/n BTW. Another version of "D&D" Due Diligence.   An example of why multiple campaigns may be a 'plus'. Some people like a change. Others look for a longstanding game due to a more developed 'history' and background. It is like life, the more developed it is i.e. the more decisions made, the less potential it contains. One choice eliminates others.  So, multiples really are a +/- depending on what is sought.
If you count the number of campaigns against someone, you're being dumb, plain and simple.
Not so dumb as to offer nothing more than unsupported assertions.
People make a lot of test campaigns and delete them. Deal with it. Number of campaigns created is meaningless.

JZouk, the current way the campaign counter keeps track of campaigns is to list any and all campaigns you have ever created. As a result it is currently working as intended. Since this has turned from a bug report to a discussion regarding the merits of GMs having multiple campaigns I am going to close the thread. If you wish to discuss those merits then feel free to create a thread in the General and Off-topic forum and discuss it politely. However, if some of you wish to argue back and forth then perhaps it should be taken to a private discussion. :) - Gauss
