Hello fellow gaming enthusiasts! I’m here to offer my time
and creativity, and an enjoyable entertainment experience, at what I believe
are very reasonable rates. The Offer
Currently, I’m focused on running games in D&D 5E as I
continue to explore the best edition (IMO) since 2 nd edition. I’m
available either Sunday evenings biweekly or Mondays weekly. I have some
flexibility in timing and have a handful of games ready to go, including: N1 Against
the Cult of the Reptile God , my 5E adaption from an award-winning AD&D
module
T1 The
Village of Hommlet , also my 5E adaption and 1 st part of the
Temple of Elemental Evil
One-shot games from Tales from the Yawning
Portal (Roll20 Marketplace)
I’m also available to kick off a full-blown campaign
stretching 1 st to 15 th and beyond, a 5E game based upon a
popular Pathfinder adventure path called “Carrion Crown”. This campaign combines the D&D fantasy elements with the horror genre, exploring dark themes and affecting the fate of a
gothic kingdom with an evil-stained past. I only offer long-term campaigns
to select individuals, because we’ve played together before.
Pricing for any of the one-shots is $50 per person for 18-24
total hours of gaming. Pricing for the full campaign is negotiable, but the
base rate is $10 per 3-hour session. Group discounts may apply.
But Dark Gods below! Fifty pieces of silver? Why?
It’s a good question. My experience with one-shots is that
commitment levels vary. As I’ll be facilitating a shared entertainment
experience, I’m acutely aware that when one or two players don’t show, it affects
the game. Payment up-front (after session 0) indicates a commitment to not just
the game master, but also your fellow players. Tools
As a Pro subscriber, I use many of the features available
within the Roll20 interface – mood music and sound effects, the best maps I can
find or create (often with dynamic lighting for the intense dungeon crawls), token
macros for quick and easy combat resolution, and many others. I use the
Compendium heavily
I run highly interactive games with audio at a minimum, but prefer
video as well and have settled on Discord like many others. I can be found
easily at VorpalDM#0812 Terms of Service
Expanding upon Roll20’s Code of Conduct, I post here my
additional Terms of Service, spelling out what you can expect from me and what
I expect from those at my game table:

Your

value of the game session for other players. This most commonly occurs
through metagaming . My Credentials
Nine Hells! You’re still reading? So why would you bother to
spend your hard-earned silver to play at my game table? I’m glad you ask! I’ve been a game master for over 30 years. I’ve run long-term games
in almost every edition of D&D, as well as Pathfinder, Shadowrun (1 st -3 rd
editions), and an indie RPG known as "The Riddle of Steel." Heroes Unchained is
an award-winning example from my portfolio, a 3-year Earthdawn campaign. I
create and run the types of games I prefer to play in, with exciting tactical
combat and epic role-playing. In the worlds I build, you’ll have an opportunity
to develop multidimensional characters with interesting histories. Professionally (my day job), for the past 15 years I’ve
worked as a technologist for an enterprise-sized financial institution, and
most recently I took a role managing global relationships around a set of
technology services. On a daily basis, I facilitate meetings and calls with
senior executives, engineers, and demanding business partners. Many of the
skills I’ve honed professionally have sharpened my game mastering – time and
project management, negotiation, and active listening.
People keep coming back to my game table because first and
foremost, I’m consistent and dedicated. Offering a Sunday or Monday night game
means I’ve made the commitment to provide you a service. I value diversity,
cultural awareness and different perspectives. I have many hobbies, but this
for me is a craft, and sharing it with others energizes me like nothing else.
