Evening folks. We're looking for one more player for a DC apocalypse game, with information on when we are running and such to be found at the following link. We'll be using discord, so don't apply if you've got holdups with that particular service. A quick summarization on what this setting is supposed to be. Roughly 200 years ago, all of the dreadful things in the multiverse, whether intentionally or unintentionally, converged on the earth and it's defenders in a single cataclysmic battle. The gods fell that day, good and evil, and left the world a ruined wasteland, but their legacies live on. The world is a neo-feudal mess where might makes right, and those few places mighty enough to regain some semblance of civilization are few and far between. A good way to generalize this world might be DC Universe meets Conan the Barbarian, it's a medieval or worse wasteland where a small villages greatest hero might be a blacksmith who is unknowingly wielding Steel's Hammer, or where the local warlock is, in fact, an old man with one of Darkseid's eyes on a stick, and the ability to summon a few Parademons. More advanced areas of society also exist, but these are few and far between. The world is littered with the relics of old, magical and scientific marvels that could change anyone into almost anything. What we expect from players: 1. Don't be evil: While we don't expect players to be heroes, we also expect you not to be villainous. You can be selfish, greedy, and doing good things for all the wrong reasons (I.E. A half-blooded descendant of Mongul overthrowing a local tyrant merely to prove he can), but we don't want outright sinister or malicious characters. 2. Legacy characters: Characters are ideal characters should derive their powers from something in the lore of the DC Universe, characters who inherit, use, or are similar to the originals in creative ways that add to the medieval wasteland setting. Examples from our existing parting include the descendants of Manchester Black, whose mutation has been inherited throughout generations. Tyrants and nobles who used their powers to control populations through intimidation and fear. Another might be a local scavenger who finds the Lasso of Truth, only to soon find the new gods of Olympus whispering into his ear, pushing him towards a destiny he does not yet understand. Ideally, a character should bring something to the setting. 3. You don't have to know the system to join this game, you've just got to be willing to learn it. While not necessary, an understanding of the DC universe will likely make this game far more enjoyable.
