Hello again, my name is Ashley, I'm 24, and I'm looking for a D&D 5th Edition game that is either already on-going and you're looking for an experienced player, or one that is almost ready to go. My times available are Monday to Friday 8am until 12am [A big window, I know], and Sunday from 5pm until 12am. All times are Eastern Standard Time. I am well versed in AD&D 2nd Edition, 3rd Edition, 3.5 Edition, and 5th Edition. I am looking to join a game that is for players 18+ only. Here is a list below for a little more detail on what I seek:
- I am seeking a Long-Term D&D 5th Edition game, whether one already ongoing or in the works.
- I am seeking a committed DM who isn't going to run away and disappear after 1 session or even after character creation [This is happening a lot in Roll20].
- I am available Monday to Friday 8am until 12am. I am also available Sundays from 5pm until 12am. All times are Eastern Standard Time.
- I am seeking to play with players and DM who are over the age of 18 and are experienced in Dungeons and Dragons.
- I am looking for a DM who challenges me, one who will accept that my character might fall in love, or my character may become twisted. I am looking for a DM who will not be afraid to attack my character, isn't sorry for his rolls, and doesn't hold back whether one player shows up to the game one session or the whole party. I am looking for a DM who won't railroad me, and allow me to attempt to do whatever it is my character is going to do [Of course, repercussions always apply]. I am looking for a DM who pays attention to backgrounds and character history. I am also looking for a DM who likes creativity. I am looking for a DM who isn't a very vanilla, streamlined DM where it's only "Your hero goes here. You get treasure. Mission successful. You go on another. You get this. Mission successful. No you're not allowed to fall in love with X person. No you're not allowed to flirt with the bard. No you're not allowed to do ________" [I've had DM's who don't allow extra-curricular activities. I have also had problems in the past with DM's who get 'skittish' about romance or capture scenes, so they just do the whole "fade to black" crap, which is something I don't do as a player. I don't do "fade to black", as I truthfully feel it's a coward's way out of creating quality posts and scenes]. I am also looking for a DM who will also give my characters actual enemies to deal with, or if enemies get away, they become spiteful of my character and seek vengeance [If I'm playing a Paladin raiding a cult, and some cultists get away, I expect to be reported to their cult leader and some cool storylines can progress with that front]. Just be creative and give me a challenge, and I will not disappoint you. :)
- I play only Humans.
- I don't do Point Buy. I roll my stats. I don't know what method your stat rolling system is, but I'll take it over that horrible Point Buy. I want to be in command of my character, not pre-determined stats and I feel my character is more personalized by rolling her stats than any Point Buy system could ever try to emulate.
- I am a very loyal person. When I commit to a game, I am committed. Only in extreme circumstances do I bow out. A DM who never shows up without any word when he or she has determined a time and date for their game is something that really ticks me off, so please be as committed to being my DM as I am committed to being your player.
- I am female IRL and only play female characters. Please don't ask me to play male characters. I have no idea how you men work, so I will leave it to the professionals [male players], ha ha.
