In the town of Westridge a small band of bards sing song in the tavern. A man sits by the fire nursing a brew and tells story of his days of high adventure. The local guards chase a thief through the streets. A young woman looks for her son whom wondered off into the woods. The church of St. Cuthbert rings its bells handing out food to the homeless.  This is going to be a free flowing game started in Westridge a Medium sized town. It will be a high fantasy setting. The town is 70% human 10% dwarf 5% halfling. 15% other. I will try to work personal backstory into the town and world. I am looking for 4-6 players.  I do some homebrew rules. Characters will start at level 1. Rules: Don't be a dick. Really simple rule if your an asshole you will be removed. If you have a problem with some one or something please let me know either in a pm or talk with me after the session. If its a huge deal lets talk it out then and there. Homebrew things are rarely accepted. If you run it by me I will look at it and make a judgement call. Some times something won't go your way. Please don't be a huge baby about it. Player characters can die. I rarely kill pc's but it does happen I wont pull punches if you do stupid things. Be on time. If you can't make a session or are going to be late please let me know in advanced. I am not a crazy person who thinks the game comes before real life and will 100% understand if something comes up that you have to do or deal with just please let me know. Don't be a dick. Really simple rule. Again if your an asshole you will be removed. New players welcome. I am a huge fan of new players. Your all wonderful to dm for and it isn't a bother to help you with figuring things out. The game will be played in discord.  Application. Character Name: Class: Race: Backstory:
Character Name: Arak Myra (Me-Rah) Class: Paladin Race: Tiefling Backstory: Arak, and his older (by moments), twin brother were born poor, living as outcasts in city slums with only their mother. Arak took to making honest work, despite being judged by his horns, at a young age to earn some copper and silver to help with expenses, while his brother took to being a trickster and stealing from local markets to provide. Nonetheless, their mother loved them both equally and respected what they did to keep the 3 of them together and alive. In their early teens though, their mother ended up being kidnapped just before it seemed Arak's brother was killed by the same group of bandits. Young and left with no one, Arak took to finding sanctuary under faith, becoming a paladin, a knight for righteousness, a wanderer. He now uses his godly given abilities to seek out those who destroyed his family as well as abide by the word of his diety, seeking evil and destroying it before it has the chance to do to others what it did to him.

Character Name: Coren Faefell Class: Druid Race: Elf Backstory: While studying strange activity in my younger years inside the Faewild, I stumbled upon a ancient relic that spoke out to me and promised great knowledge and understanding. After a period of thought I accepted the offer unknown to me it was an ancient trickster that had been sealed away for millennia. He used my naive thirst for knowledge to free himself, in the process he stole my soul and trapped it in a glass and obsidian obelisk somewhere in the Faewild. My journey is now centered around finding and freeing my soul, I am willing to work with people if it furthers my goal but any who stand against me will fall. I would be happy to play a cleric as well.

Character Application Character Name : Xan Azor Class: Warlock (Hexblade) Race: Yuan-Ti Pureblood (Volo's) Backstory:  Xan was once a man who had it all, the Yuan-ti purebloods could have whatever they wished, wealth, prestige, power. All at his fingertips, Xan was the heir to the noble house Azor. The Yuan-ti are a power greedy and corrupt people, their wants came before the needs of their own people. Their quests for power and stories of betrayal were that of which would be passed down for generations. Xan cared not, who would dare touch the heir to the Azor house? It was Xan’s pride and foolishness that led to not only his downfall but also that which he cared for most. In a powerplay that Xan had never seen coming the Malog noble family struck out against Xan’s family. They were swift and fierce, in mere moments the Azor Household was brought low as not only mercenaries but those of magic befell the house.  Xan fled, the Yuan-ti’s number one thought was his own survival, despite the screams of his brothers and sisters Xan did not look back. Out of fear of what he’d see, that he’d see the mercenaries on his tail prepared to cut him down like they’d done his parents. Years were spent with Xan on the run, powerless. He went from riches to rags, many years he spent on the streets, forced to sustain himself off rats or other creatures that skittered by in the alleys of Westridge. Then one day there was a voice, it called out to him, it offered Xan something he never thought would come. A chance at redemption… A chance at revenge. It was a blade, shattered at the tip but it spoke of the power it could grant him. With nothing else to lose Xan gave himself over to it. (Sorry if this isn't high quality, did it without much sleep.)

Application-  Hello! I'm Elle, I've been playing 5e for some time now and have extensive experience with other rpgs. I curse a bunch and am really interested in taking part in this campaign! I have a bunch of characters saved and am willing to play just about any to make sure a group is well rounded- below is just one.  Thanks! Character Name : Pavi Class : Rogue (sailor background) Race : Half-orc Backstory : The tattoos on her body tell a story, and it is a long one. The one on her cheek- a slaver's mark, pressed beneath the skin at only five. The marks on her arm- symbols crewmen with which she's served. The twining of marks on her collarbone- a necklace, an ornament made of a strike that might have killed her.  Pavi was born in a fisherman's hut by the sea to a young woman. Her husband knew the child was not his own- slight as she might be, Pavi has never quite looked human enough - but he loved her as his own. He rocked her and sang to her and cradled her; when he died, Pavi's world came to a standstill. Her mother had never been so kind, never so willing to acknowledge her indiscretion made public by her daughter's birth. The mother claimed her daughter had died in the same plague that took her husband, and arranged for her young child to be spirited away. An uncle took her, and within a month she stood on the slaver's block, property of the highest bidder.  The captain that took her was kind enough, and upon the sea Pavi thrived. The ocean was her mother, the rigging of the ship her playground, the crew a boisterous and loving family. She was happier there than she ever could have been with her own flesh and blood. Still, all good things come to an end- though this wouldn't for many years. Upon the Night-Spinnaker she grew strong, though never tall, grew skilled with the rapier and dagger. Talented with fingers and mind alike, she moved through the rankings- from cabinchild to navigator, to bo'sun, to first mate to the woman who bought her so many years ago.  When the Captain died, Pavi took on her role, took her coat and sword. Under her command, her crew prospered... until she took a dagger across the breastbone. Pirates are not known for their loyalty- as she lay infected in a fever-house, they stole her ship & the only life she'd ever known.  Pavi would do anything to get her ship back, though she will bide her time. Grow stronger, make allies, join a crew. What matters if it's on land or sea?
Hey! My name is Will and I’m new to D&D, having only played a couple sessions of 5E, but my group is going on a hiatus, and I would love to be included in an online game.  Character name: Tameryn Furtim Class: Rogue  Race: Wood Elf Backstory: Tameryn had a very rough upbringing, as he had watched his parents murdered before him when he was very young. It was a brutal massacre of them, all while Tameryn was hiding under the bed. As the massive amount of blood dropped through the bed onto the top of Tameryn’s head, he stifled screams. When the murderer had left, he climbed out and just cradled his parents’ bodies, before taking off his mother’s pendant. The pendant showed a glyph that Tameryn could not discern the meaning of. But, Tameryn did notice the same sigil on the pendant that hung around the murderer’s neck as he dared to peak out momentarily to try to catch a glimpse of his face.  When the incident was brought before the guards, they counted the evidence as inconclusive, and informed Tameryn that he should just drop it and forget about that part of his life- before he stuck his nose into places that it didn’t belong, that is. It was at that moment that Tameryn completely lost respect for authorities of any kind. He decided that he would take matters into his own hands- but only once he was old enough to handle it. Till then, he became a ward of the state, and was forced to bounce between different orphanages for “insubordination”. The truth was, he just wouldn’t take the shit and the abuse of the scum that generally ran them- until he met Mick. Mick was a very wise gentleman who ran the smallest orphanage that Tameryn had ever seen- mainly because Mick helped his wards get a leg up on the world that was determined to beat them down, and gave them the skills to survive on the streets. He realized the world was out to get orphans and milk them for all they had, forcing them into slavery or shitty jobs- but Mick had a better solution for the children he cared about. He taught them how to be present without being seen or heard, how to steal, how to use a blade, and how to use their minds to get everything they need. But, most importantly, Mick taught them to always follow a moral code. Never hit a mark if they didn’t deserve it, or didn’t have the money to lose, and never betray your family. And if someone hits you, you hit them harder until you win. And if someone hits your family, you make them regret the day they were born. Mick was discovered by the city guard, and was taken to prison for training thieves, and for years of treachery. Tameryn hasn’t seen him since. But now Tameryn is old enough, and has the skills to find the group that killed his parents. He has the sigil. And he’s coming for them.
