LFG D&D 5e Player looking for group.

I am a semi new player who's played a few games of D&D 5e but have never finished a full campaign due to groups disbanding. I'm looking to join a long term campaign as a player. Preferably in a campaign that is taken seriously with plot developments and a balance of combat rather than a game meant to be a joke. I mostly wish to play as a sorcerer or a fighter but I am willing to fill into any role if needed. I am 19 years old and like the role play as well as combat of the game. If anyone is interested in inviting me leave a comment or pm me please. Thank you ahead of time. (Edit) Forgot to mention I play text chat only for irl reasons.

My pc is in my living room and can't connect to wifi so it needs a direct connect and talking like a dragonborn and what not will be a bit awkward around family.

I think you mean talking like a dragonborn will be AWESOME around family! :-) If you're willing to to do voice I have a Hoard of the Dragon Queen campaign starting within a week or so. We need one more player to get started. We haven't settled on an exact game day yet - it'll be weekly either on a Monday or Thursday somewhere between 3:30pm-10pm CST (sessions will last 3-4 hours). The date/time will be set once we know what works best for the group. Let me know if you're interested!

I have a few games going on as well, but if anyone gets a game going I can play or seeing as tho I am as skilled if not more so than most on here .let me know what u get going on

I'm also interested in joining a group, I feel that you don't actually have to put on a voice, you can do a sample if you want but just talk in ur normal voice, helps  keep things simple rather than trying to remember which voice for who etc.
