Looking for Reliable Players for weekly B/X Dungeons & Dragons on Sundays, 8.00PM (GMT)

I'm looking for 4-6 reliable players who can commit to a relatively long-term D&D campaign. The sessions will be weekly, occurring at 6.00PM (GMT) on Sundays, although I am somewhat flexible when it comes to the time and day. Please do not apply unless you feel that you could commit to attending most weeks. We will be using the Basic/Expert D&D rules from 1981, edited by Tom Moldvay and David Cook. A digital copy of the rules can be purchased here: http://www.dndclassics.com/product/110274/D&D-Basic-Set-Rulebook-(B-X-ed)-(Basic)?filters=0_0_44699 It is quite important that we are all using the same rulebook, so be sure to acquire the 'B/X ed.', with the female magic-user and green water-beastie on the cover. We will be playing the old TSR modules for Basic and Advanced D&D. We may start with something like 'B2: The Keep on the Borderlands', but if people have already played it I will choose another. The setting will be the Grand Duchy of Karameikos, although I will likely be adapting it somewhat. If anyone is interested, please respond to this thread. I also strongly encourage you to join the VTRPG Portal, the Virtual Table RPG section of the multi-gaming guild Eternal Vigilance. VTRPG Portal is a large community of friends who enjoy playing tabletop RPGs and teaching others how to be a great Dungeon Master. Would you allow new players, I prefer pathfinder but willing to try something different.
Yes, new players are welcome, as long as you can commit to attending regularly (assuming you find the new system enjoyable).
How tricky is it, I heard original D&D was very maths heavy.
It's not original D&D per se. This is Basic D&D, which is obviously somewhat based on OD&D, but not the same. Original D&D isn't all that maths heavy, at least not compared to Pathfinder. Basic D&D is a rules-light system, so again, not too maths heavy. The most maths comes in calculating encumbrance and so on.
Hmm I shall consider, I like Pathfinder because of the freedom it has. Were bards in this system?
There are no Bards in basic. The classes are: Cleric, Fighter, Magic-User, Thief, Dwarf, Elf, Halfling. That's right, Dwarves, Elves, and Halflings are their own class! The game is very different from Pathfinder and later editions in that it relies more on player imagination and skill rather than number-crunching and dice rolls. That's not me having a go at Pathfinder (which I have played a lot of), just trying to point out the distinction so you know what to expect.
Hmm, damn... I really like bards... I like heavy rping too, hmmm... Need to think about this...
Okay. Let me know when you make your mind up. :-)

I'm sure there are ways and means of getting the rulebook besides giving WotC your hard earned cash...
