[LFP] The One Ring: Seeking Voices and Bards

Hello, I planning to the Darkening of Mirkwood in a few months times, which requires much in the creation of content for its long-term commitments, handouts, NPCs, and locations to find (Which is going well). Though it also needs songs/poems of the Wilderlands and it's people, and to do the campaign and players justice, I'm looking for some people interested in aiding the campaign with their voices in recordings. Also, at times during the campaign, there are several set moments, where the players get to role-play with the likes of King Bard, King Dain, The Mayor of Lake Town, and at times the many ambassadors of other realms. In these large councils and meetings of leaders, more voices are better then one, so I am asking if some people would be interested in role-playing important NPCs with agendas. If your interested please make a recording of one the examples below, send it to me, that way I've got an idea about which voice will go best with the many NPCs and poems/songs. Example quotes from King Bard: Addressing an adventurer "There is a remarkable thing about swans. They teach us that the troubles of death should not grieve us; for in the very moment of death they make a virtue of necessity and despise their sad fate in singing.” “Letters are signs of things, symbols of words, whose power is so great that without a voice they speak to us the words of the absent; for they introduce words by the eye, not by the ear.” “We are always more afraid than we wish to be, but we can always be braver than we expect" Poem: Five Weedy Goblins "Five weedy old goblins from mountain-cave cold Heard of a fine hobbit come far from his hole “We’ll feast on his fat,” said the goblin-chief bold, Forgetting how Golfimbul’s goblin-head rolled. In Greenfields a goblin named Golfimbul came To fill up his larder and win goblin fame, But Golfimbul’s goblins fled crying in shame When a hobbit named Took with a stout club took aim! Old Bandobras Took was a hobbit renowned For towering over all hobbits around. His height every tailor’s yardstick would confound: A yard and a half from his toes to his crown! This leader of Tooks met Golfimbul one morn. No sword did he bear, with but cudgel adorned. But a swing and a thump and a goblin was shorn — And Golfimbul without his head was forlorn. Five goblins from chilly caves, bellies all ringing, Lay waiting in muck and then all came up springing — But a hobbit-lad’s knife and thrown rock all a-stinging Left five goblins dead and one fine hobbit singing!"

in short you're asking for free voice over work to be used in anyway you want without copyright belonging to the voice artist. is this setting used once and recording deleted or is this a game you intend to sell as a module for play.  If free and deleted i might be willing to provide a live voice or two but i am not giving my voice rights away to another to profit off of.  it would also be good to list how you would like the files submitted to you.

The game is already owned by others and i s their module, there is no intent to sell it or voices at all.

You might have better luck posting this on a voice related site, forum, or a subreddit where people looking to offer their voice may be more likely to come across what you're looking for.  Best of luck in your search, just remember you're asking people to do this for free and as such you may not find many takers for it.
i know i have also said this before but you're asking for those interested to submit a recording to you but no information is given with the where or how to submit it  and what type of recording you format you expect. i myself would have been interested but considering i have to do the heavy lifting to record the "demo" then send it to you somehow? sounds kind of unplanned and without insite. at best you could have done a simple discord voice interview with those interested to determine whether you liked there voice for something. then you could have set your system up to record them saying line by line but that was not how you want to go about it. your choice that is fine but what i gathered is you want professional level voice over work performed via a text script provided then have them on there end record aka studio time on their part. that is a lot to ask of a person for free. just my humble suggestions to improve your chances of getting someone to join a free project.
Yeah thank you Ryan, I'll spread the search.
