You are a relaxed player that enjoys RP and tactics. You have played at least a few games before. You look at it as a collaborative story where you help the other players get their moment to shine as well as your own. You know that different DMs highlight different rules and interpret them differently and will ask a question or make your point but will accept a ruling so the story can keep moving. Appreciate a diverse set of players that are good to each other and forgive mistakes. That a loss of a character is just an opportunity to try a new character out. That challenges can come from the role playing, the engagement or the mystery. Each player will be respectful of the other players and the GM. If these are hard for you look else where. I will be streaming these live going forward so be comfortable with that: https://www.twitch.tv/jbogrand We use discord for voice, optional video for those that like to show a little flair which I appretiate. Below is a write up that is a bit old but should give a good feel for what this game contains. If all above is you and what is below sounds cool sign up. Roll 20 doesn't make it real clear which link to use so one of these two should work: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/84347/noble-feud https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/2298831/noble-feud ------ Some History Two noble houses have been at a feud ever sense the discovery of silver and the creation of the silver mine near what is now called Silver Stone. It was once a modest hamlet called Geffergren where a knight to the king had his own manor. It was not prosperous then and the Count of Murielburg laid out his own claim to the manor and its lands in conflict with the King's claim. The count at that time pressed his claim and began a negotiation with the king of that time. He even sent up an extra several thousand gold pieces to seal the deal. Some people say that the king verbally promised to the count the Manor and it's lands. Others say the King only promised to consider the claim. Then silver was found. The knight of the family Bielpuff were devoted to the gods and the one king. They sent news to the king about the large silver deposits and that the Tilliax mining guild had verified the deposits. The rights of the count to the land was promptly then dismissed and instead made the Baronny of Harkoon granted to his nephew. Since the knight would be losing his manor the King's men decided to have him dismissed from service. Protests were sent by both the former knight and the count. But they were not allowed audience to the king. The gold was received as a gift and a thank you note was sent to the count from one of the king's men. The count knew of the prowess of the knight in combat and though had been in conflict with the knight and his family offered up a manor of his own and to go into service to him. Oaths and promises were made and now the Bielpuff's serve the Murielburgs. The mine quickly made the now town of Silver Stone prosperous. Murielburg instead went into decline as the count tried to pay his debts. But robberies, kidnappings, larceny began to increase as fast as the wealth increased. And soon somehow the Count was able to pay off his lenders. Deals were made to some of the barbaric peoples like the Kobold Kingdom of Zeffertoplioziod. The name of the great red dragon. The mine was pilfered a number of times by the dragon right at the time when much of the silver had been brought up. Adventurous were called into service and many were sent to their doom. Many were found to be murdered close to Silver Stone and a few believe it to be the work of the count and others were fought in duels with Knight Bielpuff. Via emissaries it was communicated that the dragon then required the town to send regular contributions up the trail to his kingdom and that if they were not sent the town would be destroyed. Kobold ambassadors had made their way in and the Kobolds were treated with some level of respect for fear of the dragon. Soon the dragon had made more than a nuisance of itself up and down the borderlands. The king had then also then offered a commission and put together a great force. This group went out and they say killed the dragon. Only two returned. Some say there was no dragon and that it was Orcs, Goblins, and Kobolds in the trek that killed the adventurers but since so many kobolds were killed the dragon decided to no longer bother the kingdom and is in fact a sleep. Others say that it was a pride of dragons and that they shall return to seek vengeance upon all of the kingdom. But many dismiss that as getting confused with the great resurgence of the dragons prophesy that they say will start much farther north if it were to ever start. Others say that the dragon had already died of old age and there has even been a rumor that the dragon became a lich if that were even possible. But what is known for certain that Silver Stone has not been harassed by any dragon for an entire generation. So now everything that goes wrong in the area is thought, at least by the Barron, to be trouble started by the count and that this count practices sorcery which has bewitched the goblins and kobolds to work for him. It is a fact that he employs some as mercenaries. The growing Orc menace to the north has so far been held by the count and so pressing the issues that the Barron has with the count the the king just seems to be inviting the need to fight the orcs himself. But lately the goblins that infest the forest that took the forest from his father have been going out into the open at night committing kidnapping, and murder. Silver stone seems to be getting more dangerous again with the final straw the Tome of noble enlightenment being stolen from his lordship something that he is supposed to use to become a better noble in the coming years. It has become clear that this is an heirloom of some importance to the young Baron. Closer to the present Now the troupe after completing a quick trek on the Damn trail between Silver Stone and Beaver's Damn then got pulled into the quest for returning the tome of noble enlightenment from the Kobolds. There were many attempts to get to the dungeon a few trying the perilous journey through the Forest of No Return. All that were bassiclly pushed back. The groups luck turned significantly after the discovery of a sleeping troll under bridge. The group not knowing what it was as it slumbered, partially submerged in the river under the bridge, attacked it. The poor troll flailed about as he tried to get out of the river to lay waste to the adventurers but must have panicked in the river and never made it out to even touch one hair on any of the adventurers but for good measure lady luck helped make an elf fall out of a tree. The treasure discovered then allowed the group to get horses and so a few more attempts were made and finally they made it to the dungeon. Battling to the dungeon door itself they were peppered by rocks being lobbed at them from flying Kobolds. Finally in, the group then alerted the whole dungeon to their presence by pulling the alarm lever, doing the kobold's on guard job for them. Good thing to since they killed all of them before they could make it to the alarm lever. It also released the rats. Making it through that battle half the party got locked into place by bars that fell from the ceiling locking them in place. It cut themsleves off from escaping and going forward. The crafty Kobold's pushed forward a large barrel of oil that was flimsy right up against the bars. The party not wanting to be out done attacked the barrel putting themselves in danger of being on fire. The fire moved quickly through the dungeon and only half the party escapped. The smoke and such killed off those that were cut off from leaving including many kobold's. The kobold's also had prissoners and they killed them off as they knew they were under attack. The players took another trip back to recover from the gruesome battle bringing in more friends and made way through the now burnt dungeon. They started hammering with an ax at one of the doors alerting a resident they didn't realize was still somewhere in the dungeon. And so they fought a half ogre. Finally they got to the last room and being cautious looked for traps. They found a secret door that was triggered with moving a barrel which was on a band that pulled it back shut. Trying to go down the secret door they found that their was a trap. They have rested and now plan to continue to go to a deeper level into the secret part of the dungeon. Will they ever find the tome that was carried away by escaping kobold's or will they only find more death? This Saturday we shall find out.
