Macro Compatibility for Status Indicators

As an alternative solution to a concern raised about the limited number of stat bars in roll20 , would it be a possibility to reference status indicators to macros? For example, little Brandon Jaspers in the picture below has 4 Speed, 6 Might, 2 Sanity, and 3 Knowledge remaining (which, by the way, is a pain to constantly have on overlay). If I wanted to make a macro that rolled d3s equal to his Sanity score, I would either have to keep track of these numbers alongside real attributes, or I would have to use Modifiers so that players typed in numbers every single time. If I could somehow link these indicators to attributes, or at the very least to macros, it would make the game more about fun and immersion, and less about tracking stats.

great idea!
Could you do something with rollable tables with icons (different icon for sanity 1-9 for example) to be used as tokens? You might be able to make a single macro to 'refresh' a set of four rollable table tokens that refer to your Character Sheet attributes for which icon to show, and then group the token/tables with your character token. This is top-of-my-head, but I feel like I've seen folks describe how to do this before.
