New Player - GM of Board Games and Card Games

Hi.  I am brand new to Roll20 and to the gaming community.  I know little and want to learn everything.  I've started a game called "Chess...Kind Of" with no set schedule yet because I haven't found players as tonight is my first night online.  I'm looking for patience and a group who would be cool with teaching me how to design game boards, brainstorm ideas and bring new games for the group to play to my attention. Right now I have a chess game set up, but it's not very well designed.  I could use some guidance and some players.   Thanks so much if you are able to help me out :)   -Anne
**Update** I've set up Chess and am working on setting up some type of card game.  Also received a spam message that excited me until I realized it was spam :( SO!  Serious players only.  Thanks!

Hello. I'm interested in board games, though somewhat skeptical about how well they'll work on roll20. I think readability for cards might be the biggest issue; monitors are only so big. Then players might just have to hit 'z' a lot to zoom in. Anyways, I'd be interested in checking it out, and maybe making a chess timer script for the game (since you're pro). Oh, I should mention, I suck at chess, but am happy to play (with a timer, since otherwise I'll just take forever).
That works!  I'm all for getting fancy with timers and such.  I found a Cards Against Humanity .PDF and am building those decks to try out if there are enough players.  I'd really like to see how creative everyone can get putting their heads together and finding ways to work around the difficulties in playing board and card games on Roll20.  I'm also interested in seeing if we can put a spin on classic games or create our own.  We might be able to do some cool things?  Hopeful anyway.  So, if you haven't yet, go ahead and join and we can further discuss our approach! -Anne

NP, but that's not a join link. It's probably best to send in a private message anyways though. To get the join link, click on invite players, and copy the link. To send me a private message, click on my name, and then there should be an option on the left to send private message.
For you and anyone else who wants to join: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/join/2848473/KFZn1g" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/join/2848473/KFZn1g</a>
For awhile I ran a fairly popular drop in game of Betrayal at House on the Hill.&nbsp; Using assets from&nbsp;<a href="http://www.vassalengine.org/" rel="nofollow">http://www.vassalengine.org/</a> and drawing the tiles from my own set at home (easiest way for me to do without knowledge of coding/etc.)&nbsp; Nice thing was using the modules made for the vassal engine I could find high quality image assets for games I wanted to run, might be something worth checking out for yourself.
KK - Thanks for the link.&nbsp; I'll give it a look. I'm not too well skilled with coding either, but going to be learning for sake of designing efficient games.
Don't worry Anne, I think, I can talk you through most of what you'll want to do. KK's and old friend of mine and a darn good host of games too. I'd bet she's able to help as well. As long at the time works out.&nbsp;
Jay - Thanks! I see you joined. I'll be making posts with current projects and updates as they come.&nbsp;&nbsp;
