Journal Linked Tokens and Copies: Any Way to Link to a specific Copy on copy?

So, this isn't a problem in D&D, since HP are easy and can detach simply from the character sheet.  But I made a sheet with a tracker.  How can I copy a pre-statted "mook" and drag them on in a way that creates: 1) a new journal entry 2) a token linked ONLY to that journal entry (and no others) Is there an API that allows this without constant copy, edit, re-link, choose selected?  This would speed up gameplay immensely for any tracker based system (shift double click will open tracker/charsheet and allow tracking of that individual)
Why do you want an individual journal entry for each mook if their stats (except for things you can track w/ the bars, like hit points) are the same? I think the problem you're probably experiencing is that you linked the hit points of the token for the mook to the Character.  So if the hit points on the character sheet changes, the token (all of them, if multiple), change.  Don't do this.  Set up token with the proper hit points, but don't link it to the character sheet hit points.  This way each token has its own unique hit point bar. But maybe my assumption is incorrect.

Not sure what you mean by "a tracker". Do you mean a value that you keep track of on a per token basis? If so, Three of Swords has the solution, and explicit directions can be found  here , specifically the section on mooks .

So, I'm not using hit points, but a number of drop downs that track injuries (like WoD, Shadowrun, etc, but different).  3Swords- that's how I do D&D, but this is for a game I'm developing, which has a more qualitative damage system. keith- yeah, read that, and is the solution for numerical tracking.  I need to track things on the charsheet directly for each character (not a number or numerical value, loosely coded on the charsheet via a series of drop downs)

I don't think an API exists that will do what you are talking about, then. You might be able to enhance tracking values by using status markers, but that doesn't sound like what you want either. You could create a second campaign that holds your defaults, Transmogrify a new copy in and immediately rename it to avoid re-writing any subsequent transmogrifications. That would be slightly faster than the method you laid out above. The renaming would even be somewhat scriptable with ChatSetAttr.

I was afraid that might be the case.  I do know you can duplicate a character and it makes a new character, and that new character is selectable from the token... was just hoping to find a way to 'auto select to new character' on token drag.  Thank you though.
