Hi there! My name is Jamie and I want to start roleplaying. I've played D&D once with some real life friends and it was a blast so I thought that it would be fun here as well! As the title suggests I am super new to the whole roleplaying and would appreciate any wisdom anyone would like to share with me. I'm Pacific Standard Timezone and would very much like to join your roleplaying game!
Hi Jamie, If you have played a game and enjoyed it that is a great start. What kind of character did you play? What kind of adventure did you go on? If you are online at 9am GMT on Monday send me a message and I will voice chat you through exploring RPGs.
Oh hi, Steven; I played as a wizard who did most of the talking when we had to go into towns. Our adventure had a pretty neato storyline, we were undercover law enforcement agents disguised as thugs sent from another capital city to gather intel on another capital city that was quite corrupt. Our mission was to find out how this city became so rich in such a short amount of time, if it wasn't anything serious we were ordered to come back but if it was serious we had to get as much info as we could on it then report back to our city. The adventure ended when we started to die one by one while investigating a merchant in the slums who was rumored to have sold slaves from another dimension. Guess we weren't very good secret agents lol.
Sounds like a great game, interesting story too. Was it DnD 4th edition you were playing?
I have no idea lol, all I did was roll dice and pretend to be a wizard! What is the difference between the other 3 editions?
Honestly it comes down to the rules that you have to follow and how your spells work. Will be around during the week, send me a message and I will happily go through any questions you have.
Im also new to the scene and would love to join a group of new players
Wednesday GMT UK at 9:30 pm okay for you heavy on rping, done in Pathfinder and it's based on the Inferno part of The Divine Comedy? Any of you interested?
Ulamasha, what timezone are you in and what times are you free? Jamie, I know your timezone but what times suit you? Vernon, you are very generous to offer your help.
I'm in the Pacific Standard Timezone and weekends are best for me anytime of the day. During weekdays anytime after 7pm.
Oh I don't know my work schedule for the next week but odds are it will be mon-fri with saturday and sunday off. So weekends would work best for me as well!
