Multiple pages on the same "layer"

I find that when I make maps, I have a hard time with the layering, selecting the token I want (without moving other tokens), and other such things. An easy solution to this would be to have multiple pages on the same layer. For example having 3 token layers would mean that you could put players on layer 1. Doors/movable objects on layer 2. And creatures/enemies/npcs on layer 3. I use dynamic lighting frequently, and have to draw different dynamic lighting lines for doors, having 3 layers here would be advantageous as well. I sometimes accidentally grab the wall portion under the door, and move the whole room instead of just the door. The way I am picturing it, is that it would function the same way as the current  layers, except just have the option to have more for the same ones. Hope that makes sense, I feel like I did not explain that very well ;P
Made sense to me. I'd just be happy if Ctrl/Cmd A(ll) worked w/ copy paste. That 'one bit at a time' gets a little tedious. I'm sure they're working the more obvious / higher use stuff.
Easier suggestion: Just let us create and destroy layers on the fly, and modify their visibility or grid snappiness.  Maps could start out with just one layer: Main (Visible, Snap-to-Grid Enabled).  If we need a layer under it for the map, we add another layer, set it Visible, Snap-to-Grid disabled.  Need one for GM Notes?  Invisible, Snap-to-Grid Enabled.  That kind of control would be a huge boon, and solve the OP's suggestion nicely.
