Experienced player looking for DnD 3.5 game, preferably up-to-date and running

Hello everyone, I'm a 23 year old native English speaker who's looking to join a currently running game of DnD 3.5, as browsing the Looking for Group feature of this site hasn't yielded any promising results as of yet. Many seem to be either full, out of date (no response from original poster), require stuff I don't have, etc. I own the Player's Handbook and Dungeon Master's Guide, but not the Monster Manual as I have not tried my hand at DMing. I also possess several expansions in the form of the Draconomicon, Dragon Magic, and Complete Warrior. I also have several year's worth of experience with 3.5 and have played some big campaigns and numerous one-on-ones with friends, but I wish to find one with a decently sized group of around 4 current players that I can fit into if it isn't too much trouble. I prefer tanky melee characters, although I'm not above playing other classes if needed. Pure spellcasters are not my forte', though, so please keep that in mind. I also do not have any experience with the Roll20 program as of yet, so potential takers on my request will have to deal with me feeling my way around the program. Just telling you guys now. My preferred gaming days are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I live on the Pacific west coast of the USA, which I think is GMT -8 if I'm not mistaken. I own a mic and have Skype, but do not own a facecam. Anything else that I haven't mentioned, you should be able to find on my profile. Thanks for reading, and hopefully you guys are interested!
Hmm, nothing yet. Maybe my search was a bit too strict? If fitting into an existing party is a problem, I can work with a new group forming around a new campaign.
It's just harder to find games by posting yourself as a player. There are lots of players and only few DMs. If you launch a game, it fills up in about 2 days tops as long as the scheduling is not too weird. I had a bunch of players on open forums ask someone to GM the "One Ring RPG." I stepped up, it filled up to six players in 7 hours, and we started generating characters 10 hours later, and running 12 hours after that. Sadly, I turned 2 away, because we were already set to run it as full at 6. 3.5 is popular, as is 4th, and to an extent, D&D Next, even more so Pathfinder. The player base is just so large, there's a lot of competition to get into almost any game. It comes down to first come, first served, and people apply to games spots sort of like a job application. Just not enough DMs. But if you DM yourself, or find someone to DM, boom it flies, pretty much. Good luck.
Thanks! I actually got a private message a little while ago from a DM, letting me know that a spot opened up, and I'm waiting for him to reply back with the details, so thanks for the info and the bump!
