LFM CoD, wed, 8-12 pm EST

Good Initiative, Bad Judgement. Asia Security Group (ASG): a PMC (Private Military Company) of about 600 employees with headquarters in Kabul Afghanistan. They take contracts to assist in nonmilitary endeavors, in military environments. Examples would include protecting US business convoys, protecting construction sites, watching over US citizen housing on foreign war torn areas, and other more ambiguous activities. They operate in Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia in the Middle East. In Africa they protect assets in Niger, Chad, Algeria, Libya, Sudan, and the CAR. It’s the PMCs job to join the operator and the contract, nothing more. Each employee needs to provide their own gear, weapons, and items they use in the field. In recent years after the second Bush war, many powerful and wealthy American and world companies have taken interest in some of the poorest and most devastated areas on Earth. Between diamond mines of Africa, oil pipelines of the Middle East, the pirating around the red Sea, and proxy conflict between the United States and Russia, there are Trillions of dollars and thousands of lives on the line. Amongst the security operators of various PMCs, there are rumored events of the supernatural. Nothing has been confirmed, and none of them come from the US. Your characters are a just another small group that works in ASG with backgrounds that would make sense. Around half the game will be a tactical RPG under the CoD rule set with the other chunk of game time being in the states with family/friends/R&R. No characters can be Rambo. You’re normal people with sheets that are limited to the confines of character creation. No attributes can be under 2, only 1 skill can be 4, and no True Friend Merit. The focus of combat will be on teamwork and doing objectives; attacking and killing at random will get all characters killed quickly. The focus of non-combat will be on the effects of war on the characters, their families and loved ones, and how the supernatural makes everything even worse. I would expect a large blend of social and physical rolls. While the game will have its share of combat, the focus of the chronicle will be on pc to pc relations, pc to npc relations, character evolution, and moral decay. Books needed will be Chronicles of Darkness main rule book. I recommend also owning Hurt locker from NWoD 2.0 line, as well as Dogs of war from NWoD 1.0. Both these books focus on psychology of war and brutality of conflict. (It should go without saying, you should actually read the books, not just have them downloaded from some torrent.) None of the players are mindless killing machines. Shooting people will have the possibly to affect your characters. Character sheets can be downloaded from Mr. Gones. Games will be Wednesday from 8 pm EST, to midnight over Discord. Having a mic, and being proficient in English is a must. I’m certainly not perfect with grammar, but being able to keep up with a conversation and adding to it in a way everyone understands is absolutely required. Please send character concepts and questions to me via PM over roll20 or on Discord at ddickerson#1572.
Still looking for possibly 1 more person.  Have a few PMs going but nothing concrete.  Looking for normal characters with normal stats.  Toons just happen to be mercs for a career.  Characters should have people they care about, goals, fears, etc; more than just dots on a sheet.
Had a person drop due to mic issues, another person isn't getting me character info.  We have room for 2 still.  Game will eventually lead to VTR, but I'm not in a rush to get there.  There are quite a few VTR games at the moment, but not many Requiem.  Shoot a message if interested.
