LFG Shadowrun 5e

I haven't play in the SR 5e rule set but I have read the rules.  As for roll20 it has been about 2 years since I have used it last so I will be a little rusty. I am available from 6 am to about 3 pm MST Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.  Character concept will be an occult investigator because I love magic and investigation.  Any takers let me know.  Look forward to playing with you chummers in the near future, or so I hope :P.

Interesting! I was just putting together an occult investigator campaign but was wondering who to play with. I play SR 5E regularly but haven't played a mage. My roll20 experience is in DnD and as a player. I am quite a fan of theatre of the mind style of play. What is the best way to move forward? Email?

I'm GMT and have never played shadowrun(apart from the videogame) but would be interested in giving it a go it seems interesting

Caleb - You were going to GM correct? What CharGen options are you allowing? I am kind of geeky so own way too many books. But am happy with restrictions :) Ronan - SR is super fun. Crunchy as heck but fun.

That's fine man you got discord? I think it's cool at the least that we've found people interested in playing the game, it should make it easier for everyone

I am happy to GM. I might need to find time to figure out how to do so on roll20. And I am happy to keep things Occult Investigation. Because of time zone issues I could probably work out 7am MST on Tuesdays. We could try and just meet up and talk character creation first. I could do weekly sessions for about 2-3 hours. I am looking at discord. And let me see what needs to be done to run a game. I will post again here with more thoughts.

OK I got discord started. And am putting together a roll20 game. First session will be Tuesday 7AM MST. If anyone is interested I will send you a discord invite and a roll 20 invite. First session will be CharGen. If you want to come with characters ready to go the feel free to use any of the 5e books. If you have a character concept but haven't made a SR character before we can discuss in this forum how to go about making your character, then finalize things in the session 0.

It doesn't matter what the theme is for the actual genre. I just like playing investigators and Mage like characters ie an occult investigator.

This is a Shadowrun game that will focus on occult investigator-type storylines? Wow...in the Shadowrun universe things involving magic and the supernatural can get real twisted really quickly! Do you all have room for another in your game? My strength and interest is in playing a face type of character who may or may not use magic herself (shamans don't especially interest me currently and with the double dip in cha that is the common magic face choice since essence drain from magic stuff in build phase). Honestly just being clever with words and a pistol is fun for me. I have been playing and running games for over 15 years, and have played Shadowrun twice before, both in the 5e ruleset. I am excited for the possibility of looking more into the mystical side of Seattle as I haven't encountered much of that as a player yet, though as a person I am a superfan of several tv shows in the genre. :) I also have discord, so if you'd like to meet me and feel me out as a player please let me know. :D

my discord is AaronS#7920 So we have Caleb J, Ronan W., Endless Pajamas and Kayla. Sent discord friend requests to Ronan and Endless Pajamas already. Caleb and Kayla send me a friend request and we can start chatting characters. I think we can run this as a magic focused SR game. Like Kayla said magic can get twisted in the 6th world so it should be fun.
