Weather Effects Engine

It'd be great to have something similar to what Power VTT has implemented. I often build my maps to have Daytime & Nighttime versions, it would be awesome if I was able to use effects to generate these moods on the fly. These could be simple color filters (multiply/screen) or full effects. It's possible some of these effects could be built using APNG which would reduce the canvas rendering time. This might require a feature like: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1241955/foregrou... to be implemented first. I would love this to be a toolbar button (similar to effects), instead of a page setting (those tend to be cumbersome to toggle). Some Possible Effects off the top of my head -- - Day (No Effects) - Snow - Rain (Acid/Normal) - Falling Debris (Floating Embers, Ash, Ice, Rocks) - Fog (Natural / Radiation) - Dusk - Dawn - Night - Hazy (Super Hot, Desert) - Magical (Like floating arcane flecks or something...)
Oh yes please. Currently I work with overlay PNGs on the map layer, which makes tokens "fly" above rain, snow etc. Would love to have a weather/special effects layer!

You can do some of these effects with the Page FX API script: Snow, rain, falling debris, maybe fog, and magical flecks. The rest of those would either require some sort of post processing filter or a special WebGL shader.
