Hello! My name is Anthony. I bring 30 years of Role Playing experience. Been DMing almost as long. I'm looking for a group of serious (as in take the playing part serious) players that play weekday nights, which is difficult to find as a player. I believe that while fun and chatting is going to happen... We are there to game. I want to start and play as my character. I want to have intricate backstories that get folded into the game. I want character motivations to be prevalent in the game play. I want to be in a game where characters are played as they are, not what would help the situation. Sometimes a group has to look at a problem and realize they don't have the ability or resources to handle it, and walk away. Maybe to come back later, maybe not. Interpersonal character interaction is very important. Not every character has to like each other (plenty of great roleplay happens on intercharacter conflict), but characters realize they have a common goal and need to work together. Combat and roleplay happen as the story is written. I like games where the characters have story lines that go with multiclassing, not just the fact that they want to maximize their characters abilities. Ability scores aren't always going to be super high, and a character who has flaws is more interesting than the character who can always do everything. I'm looking to hear what a group is, and then the character will come to me. If you want me to fill a role, I don't mind doing it... but I also personally don't feel like inside the inn where you meet is going to happen to have a perfect group composition eating lunch when the notice of an attack happens. You have to make do with what you got. I'm browsing through the gaming tool, and searching for games. I currently am down to DMing just one game. I just wanted to get this out there in case a group was looking for a good reliable player that wants to find a place in a strong campaign, and is willing to even do voices if we're going that far. As a DM sometimes we get stuck in the role of leading games, and sometimes we really want to just have that one character to be instead of the whole world.
