Interest check - Pathfinder Fridays (Homebrew)

Looking to establish a Friday evening gaming group for pathfinder.  I have a few players on board now, but looking to top out at 6 total.  Game time would be 6pm Central time Friday evenings (I've got an Aussie player as well, and that's 11am for her on Saturdays in Australia).  Launch date could start as early as this coming Friday, depending on how quickly it comes together.  See below for campaign setting, feel free to ask whatever you would like to know. "Coles Notes" Two hundred years after the cataclysmic destruction of the great Alumbian empire, spanning two continents and renown for its highly developed culture and infrastructure based on advanced mastery of arcane knowledge, a small group of unlikely adventurers strives to make their way in a world that is beginning to discover itself once again following the great unravelling. Our heroes will find themselves set within a post-apocalyptic world, a culture where mixed races have banded together to form townships, small feudal states, and frontier settlements which continually contend with all manner of wilderness denizens. What can be done to restore order to a ravished, chaotic world, and renew the majesty it once posessed? "In search of the city reborn" Character Types - Due to harsh conditions in a post-apocalyptic setting, adventuring folk have become more hardy, and indeed, only the finest of fit and the resourceful survive.  Therefore,  characters will start with a 25 point buy for ability scores.  Be mindful that although you and the team are stronger, so are the enemies you will face.  Characters can start with two traits of the players' choosing, according to Pathfinder rules.  Use of tools like herolab for character generation is encouraged. - This game uses official Pathfinder rules and classes (the only thing homebrew is the game world and some monsters).  Players may choose from any of the official Pathfinder classes, although some classes may find it difficult to source the tools they need to be effective, at least in early chapters.  Please request info for specifics. Gameplay Style - This campaign endeavors to balance roleplaying and combat at a 50/50 ratio.  It features an epic storyline, although will play as an open-ended game where the players control their destinies.  - The GM is completely objective in that the fate of the players is entirely in their hands.  Players will be expected to think strategically and win encounters through tactical excellence.  Encounters will be balanced and winnable, but no mercy will be shown to the foolhardy, and sometimes the dice just aren't friendly. - Be sure to roleplay and interact with all NPC's you think would add value.  This is a very harsh gameworld, the "mad max" of Pathfinder chronicles.  The resourceful and strong survive.  Brains as well as brawn will mean your life or your death.
Count me in.  This is similar to a setting that I've been toying with running myself.  I'm thinking I'd like to dabble in the Ranger class if possible.
I'm certainly interested, and I'm free on Fridays. I'll probably try a wizard or a bard.
Add me to skype if interested, I have 4 people so far.  Natethegreat976 is my skype.  The official roster will be confirmed at 1st game time when we start.  Right now the group has picked the following classes: - Fighter - Ninja - Ranger - Barbarian
Is there room for two more? My husband and I would like to play. I would like to play a rogue, and he could be a cleric.
I won't know the full roster until probably 15 minutes before game time.  Whoever is there on time with a character made, apart from the dedicated players I already know, has the best shot at entering the game permanently.  If there's a large pool of players available, it will come down to talking to the players, and selecting the ones we feel would be the best fit for the team.  The classes are changing all the time and my Skype is going crazy.  Now we have: - 2 fighters - Ranger - Bard (or rogue - she's undecided)   This campaign ideally should have one dedicated arcane caster, due to campaign setting/storyline.  Add me to skype, the early bird gets the worm.
I have decided to be a Bard, so! I shall be providing the cure and the buffs!
Sent you a PM and messaged your skype! Hoping to be that caster! ^_^
If there's room, I'll go caster or whatever's needed - I'm flexible and I've got a lot of free time :D
Hokay.  We already recruited a sorcerer yesterday, but we might be looking for a divine caster (Cleric would be best, but Oracle is OK).  Your primary role will be HEALING the group - no wacked out specialist clerics that play with corpses, or whatever.  You must be good at helping to keep the party alive.  Post or contact me via skype.  You must enthusiastically want to RP the character and get into it, not just play it to fill the healer void in the group (we like passionate players).
What he means to say is, you can still molest the corpses, but it can't be your main thing and you must be passionate about it. :) Life Oracles can be good dedicated healers, less of the wham-bam-face-hammering going on though. :)
Damn it I wanna play in this. it sounds awesome haha
I am looking to join a game. Skype: TheUltimateFiction
Hi, is there anymore room in this? It sounds awesome!
Jeez - I'd be interested initially, but playing a healbot isn't really my sort of thing. The concept sounds really cool.
The group roster is currently full at 6 players.  I'd encourage anyone who wants to track the game to add me to skype (natethegreat976) and be available in case an opening becomes available for whatever reason.  Our current roster includes a fighter (sword & board), fighter (2-handed), bard, monk, sorcerer, and cleric (healing domain).  If an opening does become available, class and/or archetype selection will be limited for the purposes of maintaining group optimization.  That said, if you do end up playing, you would be expected to be passionate about whatever character you do have and RP it well.  We play Fridays at 6 central, today is our first session.
Curses, foiled again! Lol, I'll keep an eye out in case you receive any openings. :)
Our first session was 10.5 hours..!  Miraculously, along with some lucky rolls, there were no deaths.  Kudos to the team for good strategy.
