Trying to pay for Pro Subscription with Gift Card

Hi, I've been using Roll20 for quite some time now and was trying to switch up my card I was using to pay for my Pro subscription with a gift card. For some reason, roll20 won't accept the gift card and keeps giving me a 402 error when I try to enter it into the change card. It's an American Express Gift Card and I know it has enough money on it for the subscription. Is it because it's American Express that it won't recognize or accept the card, and is there anyway for it to work?
