looking for a D&D 4th group (preferably thats about to start)

New to tabletop again. Had a fun, but bad experience with it about 10 years ago with people going overboard while playing Rift with a local group. I definitely enjoyed it while it lasted and would love to get into it again. I understand how the game is played, not too sure how to set up a character since its been 10 years, but plan on buying a D&D book tomorrow to figure it out. I would love to get into a game, preferably one thats about to start than a game that is already in progress, but ill take anything. I'm currently not working and am able to pretty much play any day of the week. I prefer to play D&D 4th addition, but ill play anything that is claimed to be equally fun or more.
i'm not going to tell you what to do, but another option is pathfinder. the rules are online free(in a legal way). i should warn you, it's more complex then 4e, but more people play it and that complexity leads to more options. anyways i'll leave the link here. http://paizo.com/prd/

keep on trucking with 4e, im also interested in playing 4th, i will be able to DM 4th once i get a couple of games under my belt. i personally run a weekly 4th edition game IRL and its a great system regardless of how many time PF players put us down. if you're comfortable with 4th, keep at it. its all what you make of it. there is also no statistical evidence that more people play pathfinder as a whole. 4th has had quite the following after the initial gripe. this happens with every single edition release.
You could join a 4e game I am doing it is today at 6pm. Starting at level 3.
okay, i feel like i should say something after seeing lunar_rabbit's comment. i was not trying to put anyone or anything down. i actually play 4e myself. the thing was he hadn't bought the books yet, and i know how much those books can cost, so i offered a cheaper alternative that is actually really good. i think both games have strong points and weak points and are both fun.
So on that note, whats the main difference between 4e and pathfinder?
there are a lot of differences but i would sum it up by saying 4e is simpler and easier while PF is has more options.
well i just found the pdf's for all the d&d 4th, so ill probably just stick with this for now.
