Mass initiative for selected tokens?

Is it possible (for the DM) to select a group of tokens and roll initiative for them? Currently we have a macro we use that when selecting a token you can roll initiative and it will auto-update the initiative tool. Being a DM I have about 10 npcs I need to roll for at times and it'd be a lot easier if I could just select them all and press one button rather than selecting each and then hitting the macro. Thoughts?
Nope. It can be done with the API though.

Why would you want 10 different initiative beats for each of your NPCs?! That way lies madness, sir! I assure you. Seriously, I played DnD3e under a GM who did that and it took FOREVER! Even as automated as R20 gets, I think its unnecessary.
Because otherwise it's a pretty big issue with the possibility of slaughter, on one side or the other. If you're facing five or six enemies and they all go on the same init, it's likely they're just going to gang up on one person and kill them without any possibility of stopping it.

Really? Funny, all my villains go on the same initiative and I've never once had that happen, Brandon. 'course, I'm the GM, so I suppose I get a say in the matter. :) Now, if I was the kind of GM that would just target individual PCs like that, I can see where that would be frustrating for a player. But still. Madness.

Rather than debating the pros and cons of rolling multiple NPC initiatives vs all NPCs going at once lets keep it on topic on how to roll mass initiative. Celestian , perhaps you can post a suggestion to mass roll initiatives in either the Suggestion or Mentor forums. However, I do not think it will be a simple problem to solve. The @{selected|...} system would probably need to be re-worked to handle multiple selections.

Thanks for the information fellas. I was afraid it would not be something I could do with a macro. Suppose it's part of the con side of having a simple to use tool ;)
