Player changed his user name

I have a player that changed his username on his character sheet to his character's name instead. In other words, let's say his Roll20 account name is Gamer Steve and his character is Bob. Gamer Steve is the player name in the list but because he backed it out and named it "Bob". Now my game isn't recognizing him and I'm unable to assign actions to him. His character no longer has a dot next to it in the character list.  How do we fix this? Can he manually type his user name back into the player or do we need to remove him from the game and re-invite him back in? I'm not sure the player is completely understanding the problem. I've been trying to explain it to him and he's not getting it.
Edit the controller to the new user name on the sheet
We figured it out. Thanks for your help!
