So as the title says, I'm a player looking for a group of player size around 2-5 people. I'm fine entering a game that's been going for a while and has an open slot as well as a new one. I'm looking for people that consider themselves experienced, looking for a long campaign, serious(ish) and in general that agree with my interests for d&d Schedule: free most days and most times :) Time Zone: I live in the midwest/CA most of the time About me: Started playing d&d 7 yearish ago in high school, been playing it off and on since then and I'm addicted! I prefer games with an even balance of rp and smash and bash with aspects of progression and relationships with npcs that develop. But I'm flexible as long as there is some degree of roleplay. I've played a ton of 3.5 and 5th edition but I'm also interested and willing to play pathfinder and 2nd edition. Interests: Gritty games, low magic games, med magic games, dungeons, dragons (that don't talk but if they do they oughta do it well) I would prefer not to play modules but I'm game for whatever if the price is right. Here are Just some opinions I have about dnd in general, none of these things are inherently deal breakers I guess. I prefer pretty normal games, not really into anime type of stuff or anything that gets too op and deals with gods at least at first. Things I’ve disliked about dnd Too much joking around People not showing up People leaving for prolonged amounts of time Typical encounters Typical characters, *the true barbarian* *the old rickety wizard* *the stern and cool warlord* bah, been there and done that as King would say. Straight forward missions High magic Things I’ve enjoyed about dnd Fighting in previously peaceful zones. People showing up to games Crazy scenes, like giants stampeding and fighting in the darkness nearby or halflings with spiderclimb shoes blowing holes into walls. Interesting worlds with new and strange ideas but that function together. Good and detailed description, a healthy understanding of how to tell a story, describe things quickly and properly. a game that doesn’t feel rushed but that can move if the players obviously don’t have interest. Freedom! (boredom sometimes occurs when plots aren’t thrown at the players but in the long run it makes them more independent) Low magic themes Recurring characters and character development through the game Actions in combat that are unique If there's anything I've left out just let me know and I'll be sure to respond!
