[5E] [GMT] Tal’Dorei based weekly campaign.

Hello! I’m looking for interest and players in a Tal’Dorei based weekly campaign. Time & Location etc: Weekend afternoons from 14:00 – 18:00 GMT. Could be on either Saturday or Sunday, depending upon everyone’s availability. Voice chat on Discord & played on Roll 20. Notes: I’d like it if everyone's character has some depth and backstory, but not pages and pages.  Brand new players are welcome, as the rules can be explained as we go; I've been GMing for years both on and off Roll20. There will be some homebrew rules. The new backgrounds, options and classes created by Matt Mercer are welcome. I'd recommend either people who have finished the Vox Machina campaign or that don't mind spoilers. You will most likely not be meeting the members of VM. Maximum of 5 or 6 players. Campaign Concept (spoilers for VM campaign): Set in Tal'Dorei during the Chroma Conclaves’ Reign of Terror.  You’ll be low to mid-level characters to start, with adventures of helping the town and country folk and defending against wyvern riders and lizardfolk and some other possible adventures. There is the possibility of you facing dragons, though they will not be the Chroma Conclave. All building to your group possibly fighting in the Emon battle, depending upon what happens. If everyone enjoys it and wants to continue past that point then we will. Real life obviously gets in the way sometimes, but some regular commitment would be needed. Expectation is that first session will be within a week or two but that it will be focused on character creation/refinement and 'getting to know each other' because it can be hard to RP with total strangers. Also to make sure everyone is happy with the campaign concept and so on.
Hi there! I'd definitely be interested. It's worth pointing out that I'm EST, but being there for a Saturday or Sunday 9 AM (my time) game wouldn't be too hard for me, as I'm usually up and out the door by 630 AM during the week anyway. I would be capped at 4 hours per session, though, as I have games in the afternoon. I don't know a ton about Tal'dorei yet, but I'm planning to pick up the book this weekend hopefully, next week at the latest as what little I watched of CR Season 1 was pretty awesome, I just don't have the time to watch the whole season (I am watching Season 2 though!), unfortunately. I don't mind spoilers, I've read summaries of most sessions and watched snippets of the big important events, so I know how it's turned out, mostly. I'd also like to state up front that in my experience, six people is way too many for a voice based medium. Too much talking over each other and not hearing folks. Four is ideal, imo, and Five can be done with a decent group. I don't have a specific character idea in mind yet, as I'm the type to try to pick a character concept based on what the party needs. If you want to know more about me, you can find a post with most of my info here .

Four hours would be my cap as well.  The book is fantastic and I hope you do watch the rest of S1 and I'm enjoying S2. That's fair, there will be some of the big narrative spoilers, but no smaller character ones, as you guys will have no reason to know.  That's alright we can work out characters and classes etc. I've had a read over that post and you sound pretty perfect to me. If you can send me a PM with your discord we can have a chat over things!

Hi, I'm in the same situation time wise as Bloodied Porcelain.   Est time zone, but weekend mornings are perfect for me, Sunday would be preferred though.  Critical Roll is what got me into D&D a couple months ago and I just finished binging all of C1 of CR to watch the new campaign live'ish, so I'm good to go on the setting.  I've started another campaign and done a bunch of one shots since then, so I'm fairly good on the rules and everything but still a little green.  Character wise, I'm not quite sure what I'd like to go with yet.   I have a couple concepts I've written up, and the Bloodhunter class looks interesting, but I don't quite know yet.   Feel free to ask any questions.
Hey, I'm interested in joining. I am in CST so it would be early morning for me as well. That is not an issue as i am always up around 6am. Either day would work. As for Critical Role, I started watching a month or so after the stream began and usually watch it every week. For my character, I have a few ideas written up, but i'm not 100% set on any character. I'd probably pick something that would compliment the party. Let me know if you have any questions
Hello, I am also interested in joining.  As with some of the other applicants, I am in the EST timezone.  Sundays would work out better for me. I am currently watching the chroma conclave arc of critical role and am not afraid of spoilers. I have some ideas for a handful of characters, so I am flexible on played class.
This is closed now as we have the limit of players.
