FFG Star Wars weekday, early(?)

I'd like to run my "Tales from Jabba's Palace" campaign using the Star Wars: Edge of the Empire Beta rules (from Fantasy Flight Games).  I'm hoping for a start time of around 10:00AM EST (could be flexible and start as much as an hour earlier or later), on any week day.  If I can get two or three players who can do the same day regularly, that'll be the day I choose. The game would revolve around characters who work for Jabba, beginning several months before the events of Ep. IV A New Hope.  The only "canon" for the game will be the Original Trilogy of movies (Episodes IV, V, and VI), so extensive knowledge of the Star Wars universe is not needed.  I am willing to teach the system, which is relatively simple, but having access to the books will make it a lot easier for you to build your character to suit your desires and advance them in that direction as well.
What happened to this / these people?&nbsp; <a href="http://app.roll20.net/forum/post/4197/ffg-star-wars-beta-daytime-game-est#post-34507" rel="nofollow">http://app.roll20.net/forum/post/4197/ffg-star-wars-beta-daytime-game-est#post-34507</a> Cool idea / Title BTW, esp. if you got rid of those stupid mitichlorians. I'm hip, long as it is actually a go.
I don't think we ever got a day that worked for enough people. I am also no fan of midichlorians, and since there are no Jedi in the EotE rules (though there is Force Use), they wouldn't be a problem even if I were integrating the prequels into the canon (which I'm not).&nbsp; In fact, one of my great goals in life is to run an alternative version of the prequels set in my vision of the Star Wars Galaxy.
Good on you. &nbsp;The later movies were mostly giant toy commercials and 'Twilight' anyways. "I want to be a Vamp... I mean Jedi...like my father, I mean mother, I'm confused."&nbsp; "Hey Yoda. More 'Kurasawa', less "John Woo". &nbsp;Jedi = Tradition = not 'Mighty Mouse'"
I'd be very interested to play
I have one guy requesting Wednesday.&nbsp; How would that work for you fellas?
Gotta roll out for work 730p EST, otherwise fine.
7:30 PM?&nbsp; I don't think the game would be running that long 8)&nbsp; (Particularly since I need to get my kids from school around 2:30...)
Isn't that what duct-tape and closets are for? &nbsp;: &gt; L Wait. 10a to 230p? Yeah. I'm out. Short run sessions just frustrate. Wish you well regardless though. TA.&nbsp;
I could 10:30 to 2:30 on Tuesday, Thursday. &nbsp;Monday &amp; Friday; iffy; probably closer to 11am there. &nbsp;All times are eastern. &nbsp;
4 1/2 hours is a short session for you?&nbsp; Wow, I can't remember the last time I had even the possibility of doing a session much longer than that
I'm old school. The only time a game like that or shorter does it for me, is when it is like a bad date. No use sitting around inflicting yourselves on each other. Pressh.
Im happy with 3 hours, what you talking about? :)
I'm a geezer. Back in the days before dirt and coal, what we did have was an attention span. :) Young cats go no stamina.
Welp, here's hoping more players show interest.&nbsp; I'm really a fan of this system and am hoping to be able to run a fun campagin!
I'm sure you will given chance and persistence.
I'm not really a "young cat"...&nbsp; I would love to be able to run 8 hour sessions again, but I've got the whole "wife and kids" thing going on, really limits time for hanging around rolling dice 8)
Why have a real life? You have a perfectly fine fake one here. "Come play with us Danny, forever, and ever, and ever..." RAW RATS!!!&nbsp;R AW RATS!!!&nbsp;RAW RATS!!! Campaign California. All kidding aside, if I were eligible, I'd be a monastic or eremitic right now, instead of 'here'.
Hehehe. &nbsp;My son would love the game unfortunately he will be in school ;)
thrusdays and fridays would be best for me
I am very interested taking part. I am free during weekdays EST. I'm free Monday to&nbsp;Thursday&nbsp;at the time you listed.&nbsp;Fridays&nbsp;will not work since I already have 4 hour pathfinder game that starts at 1:00pm, and I don't want want spend the whole day playing. Any other day will work. I have never played the system but am always willing to learn.
Glad to hear it Niall.&nbsp; One or two more solid players and we'll be good to go!
I'm sure someone can be found. Maybe someone in the UK?
I'm expecting to find some more people.&nbsp; After all, this is the first day my thread was up
Do you know how log the sessions will be. I ask because I have just been invited into a game on Wednesday (literally 2 minutes ago). Then again from looking above it looks most likely that the session will be held on Thursday. I would still be free for three hours on Wednesday though, even If I take this game.
If at all possible, I would prefer to do Wednesdays, because that is the only day my friend is available, but if that doesn't end up being viable, he'll just have to be the odd man out.
Well if it is Wednesday I will be free till 1pm EST. Also you did not tell how long a session you are aiming for?
can i join if &nbsp;the time is right&nbsp;
Depends; what time is right for you?
If you give me 2 weeks I can adjust my schedule for Wednesdays.
It's already Wednesday this week, so I don't think two weeks would be a big problem 8) Anybody who has a character sheet or concept that they'd like me to put a sheet together for can go ahead and post them up in here in the thread, or email them to me (<a href="mailto:tedd.haas@gmail.com" rel="nofollow">tedd.haas@gmail.com</a>).&nbsp; Hopefully next week we'll meet on Wednesday or Thursday (or both) to talk about the game, and then go from there.
Oh, and add me (BarbaricIntent) on Skype if you've got it.

oh yeah and days I am able to play are tue, wed, or thr. &nbsp;
A link to a dice roller for the FFG system (since it uses non-standard dice) Edge of the Empire Die Roller
so when &nbsp;is the play time and what is a cap city in the same time zone so i can work what the time in brisbane
It's the Eastern Standard Timezone, same timezone as New York City, Miami, Detroit, etc...
I must say that the custom dice look confusing. I will be counting on you to explain them to me Mr. GM
They're really not that tricky, so don't be intimidated.&nbsp; Basically there are 3 "good" symbols and 3 "bad" symbols.&nbsp; The blue six sider, green eight sider, and yellow twelve sider are the dice that represent your chances of success, while the black six sider, purple eight sider, and red twelve sider represent the difficulty. The basic system is pretty simple.&nbsp; If you want to do something, say slice into a computer to reprogram a security drone, you would look at your Intelligence Characteristic and your Computers Skill.&nbsp; Let's say for our example that you've got Int 4 and Computers 2.&nbsp; You take a number of green eight siders equal to the higher of the two numbers (4, in this case).&nbsp; Then you "upgrade" a number of them equal to the lower number (in this case, 2) to yellow dice. So for this roll, you'd be rolling 2 green and 2 yellow.&nbsp; If the task is of average difficulty, you would also roll 2 purple die.&nbsp; You compare the results to this nifty chart! At the most basic level, you just want to have more success symbols than failure symbols.&nbsp; It gets more complex than that, but I'll guide you through it.&nbsp; Trust me, it's not tricky, I ran the Beginners Game for my 9 and 12 year olds 8)
Oh, and anybody who wants a bit of a tutorial or to discuss their character can drop me an email (<a href="mailto:tedd.haas@gmail.com" rel="nofollow">tedd.haas@gmail.com</a>) and I'll meet you in the chat room for the game or on skype to go over things with you 8)&nbsp;
I would quite love to try out the game, but I think I can't make it in the time you will play. If you switch to Tuesdays and you still have a space open, please let me know. The system seems very nice (I have to confess I was afraid from it, but more I read about the better I like it).
This game going to be on Thursday or Wednesday?
Just noticed.....what day I mean
I'm going to have a meeting this upcoming Wednesday at 10 AM EST about the game, for those who are interested
I'd be very interested in playing on a Tuesday. I'm on GMT, so I'm 5 &nbsp;hours ahead, I think. Message me if you're stuck for a player!
Great Zarziban, I am exactly on the same shoes as you, GMT and Tuesday :). Sadly the game will be held in Wednesdays I think :(.
Interested but cant do Wed
I can do&nbsp;Wednesdays&nbsp;but only till 1:00pm (EST). I would prefer&nbsp;Thursdays, and tuesdays (thought I might have to miss a few sessions hear and there because I have few appointments on&nbsp;Tuesday&nbsp;over the next few months.
Oh man, it's never easy 8) Seems like I can get two or three players for Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, but can't get a large amount for any of them. Sound off if you're available Tuesday, Thursday, or both.&nbsp; If both, please include which is easier for you, since attendance is important in maintaining a game.
Both forTuesday&amp;Thursday....sorry....spacebar...stuck
Just Tuesday for me, that is my off-day on the week (and a weekend).
