Hello! I'm looking for a roleplay heavy, long term campaign. I prefer
epic story lines (or at least sandboxes with opportunities for epic
story lines) and lots of story to dig in to. I’d also prefer to find a
group that engage in roleplay with one another and a GM who doesn’t mind
taking a step back and allowing roleplay to happen.
Who I am : I’m 31, Female, and have over 22 years
of experience as a player of various systems under my belt. I also have
over 19 years of experience as a GM, though I am not looking to run a
game at this time. I write both for a living and as a hobby, so I value
story and character depth. I am not a “crunchy” player, so it’s worth
putting that out there up front. If your group is the type to nitpick
and go with minute details in the rules rather than what serves the
game/narrative over all, I’m not your girl. I guess this could be summed
up best by saying that I am a ROLE player, not a ROLL player. I am a
writer both from a professional standpoint and as a hobby, so I value
story and character growth over all else.
What I’m looking for : A group of ADULT (21+)
role players who aren’t here to be murder hobos. It's also worth noting
that just because I want the other players to be over 21 doesn't mean
I'm interested in having ERP or anything like that, I just prefer
playing with people who are more mature and have more life experience
than someone younger. A group that can be sensitive to each other both
as people and as fellow gamers. A GM who can handle the demands of
GMing, both from world-based stuff like NPC building and world crafting,
to story stuff like weaving in character backgrounds and such so the
story becomes more relevant to the characters and the players
themselves. Something lasting that we can all get invested in (sorry, I
really am not big on one shots, I find them difficult to enjoy because
they’re difficult to get in to the story and character with). I would
really prefer to join a brand new campaign, or at least a campaign that
isn't too far along (3-4 sessions max) because I find it difficult and
awkward to join most groups in the middle of their story. I'm doing this
right now with one group and I'd like to not have to do it again with
another.
Here are some specifics : System: D&D 5e World: Homebrew is generally preferred, but I'd be willing to get in to a published campaign.
Availability : Friday, and Saturday evenings, weekly, starting anytime after 6 PM EST, and Sunday morning up until 12 PM EST
Medium : Voice based ONLY (I will not cam, do not ask), Roll20 for rolling and Skype, Hangouts, or Discord for voice. Special Note :
I'm NOT going to pay you. I have an idea that could be handed off to a
DM to run. It would be pretty easy to pick up and run with.
