Age: 20 Discord Name: Chocl8215 Rp name: Roseia Godwyn Race: Human Class: Fighter (Arcane Archer) Sidenote: I would usually only be able to play on Saturdays. I'm off work that day, work evenings (starting around 4:30 PM) Friday, and work all day Sunday. I'm also willing to wirte a different character if Roseia won't work out for whatever reason. Backstory: Early life:
Born to a pair of servants and well-educated by the manor staff. Knows math,
philosophy, and proper etiquette. The lord of the house and most of the
servants died in a massive fire, but Roseia survived and was adopted by Captain
Percival Stoneshield, leader of the guard.
Young Adult:
Trained by Percival as well as educated in a public school. Learned anatomy,
history, and even basic magic. Was bullied by boys for being too ‘proper” and
for being tiny, but was picked on by girls for liking fighting and for being an
orphan. Had no friends at school, made do at home, where Percival and his
friends made sure she was happy. Had several adult friends in the guards by the
age of 12, and was pulled into home tutelage at 14. After school, she tried to
learn swordplay, but struggled due to her small size and lithe frame, but when
a soldier taught her archery, she was a natural, so Percival and others began
training her with longbows, crossbows, even thrown weapons. By 16, she was an
apprentice at the barracks.
Adult:
She served under her adopted father and the friends she had made in her younger
days, fletching bolts and arrows, polishing armor, and making lunch, but was
quickly pulled into the wall guard due to her impressive accuracy and so
Percival could keep her closer. She stayed on the walls, despite her fear of
heights and being used to staying indoors most of her life, which left her
constantly nervous in large open areas. Even with her agoraphobia, she was
excellent at her job, but found that outside the few who knew her from when she
was a young girl, she was constantly rejected even by the other guards for
being too small, too frail, and too close to Percival. She remained though, and
even defended the town from orcs, goblins, a young dragon, and helped root out
a shapeshifter who had killed a fellow soldier and tried to steal her identity.
The undoing of Ivoryhold:
On a late evening, Ivoryhold scouts reported sighting undead, but Percival
dismissed their worries. Even so, he privately told Roseia to stay within the
walls that night “just in case.” At midnight, the alarm bells rang, and scores
of skeletal soldiers began pouring out from the wilderness, devastating farms
and small businesses that were outside the walls. People flocked inside as the
horde approached from all sides, and the guard began assailing them from the
walls. Roseia fought as well, but a massive fireball came down from the skies
near her, destroying a section of wall and killing several men. She went down
to try to find a medic when she spied Percival riding towards the main gate.
When she went after him, Percival got off his horse, calmly strode up to the
mechanism holding it shut, and opened it just as Roseia stopped. She shrieked
as the gate fell open, and the two locked eyes for only a second before the
abominations poured in and the city began evacuating. Eventually, the horde was
turned back by sheer might, but not before they had laid waste to most of the
city, and bodies littered the streets. Roseia lost a finger, and most of her
friends, and Percival was nowhere to be found, though Roseia did find his own
badge at home; replacing it with her own mark of rank, she fled from her house,
knowing it could never be her home, and went in search of answers. Favorite Pizza: Boneless.
