Zoom Limiting

Hello All, New Pro user here and I am wondering if there is a way for limit the max "zoom out" level. For example, my game map in on an 55x28 canvas, however, zooming out all the way produces a tiny map in the corner with empty space filling most of the screen. Since the zoom is fairly sensitive, I am more often than I would like zooming out too far, then having to zoom back. I would like to limit the "zoom out" max to the limits of the canvas, or at least not so the entire map is just a small area of the screen. Is this possible or do I just need to be more careful zooming in and out? Any advice appreciated! -GTH

Hi Gil! There are 3 ways to zoom in & out. There is not a way (that I know of) to limit the zoom. Which method are you using to zoom? Maybe one of the other methods will help work around this issue for you. You can zoom to specific percentages using the Magnifying glass on the tool bar. It works slightly different (for me) in Chrome vs Firefox, as far as the way to keyboard or mouse the button. This method lets you choose a % like 60% zoom or 80% or 120%, and would probably be the best approach for your situation. Second best, you can also zoom using the Zoom slider bar at the top-right of your tabletop. Here is a slider and for your case, you just don't want to drag the slider all the way down (which is all the way zoomed out). Just click the slider to a moderately down position and that should zoom out a bit for you. Third way to zoom, and which I guess you are using, is to hold the Alt/Option key and mouse up-and-down to zoom in-and-out. This is the way that can be quick, touchy, and sensitive, which actually has to do with your mouse scrolling settings, your mouse or trackpad sensitivity. Wiki docs, https://wiki.roll20.net/Toolbox_Overview https://wiki.roll20.net/Keyboard_Shortcuts
Thank you kindly. Your first suggestion is the easiest solution, I was using the scroll bar and it is too sensitive. I really only need to switch between a few different zoom levels so the toolbar option really does close out this issue for me, yay! Best regards, GTH

Good deal, Gil. In my experience the Toolbar zoom works perfectly as expected in Chrome (click the tool, click a percentage setting). Operating it is a little trickier in my Mac's Firefox, I have to single-click the tool, then use "arrow keys" to climb up-and-down the percentage choices (mousing doesn't seem to work to click my zoom choice in Firefox). Post again if you have any trouble with it.
