Play as teenagers attending high school in George RR Martin's super powered shared world. Heavy narrative/RP driven campaign. Character creation has very special rules that are specific to the setting. Looking to add 1 player to the group. Please only apply if you are the following: - Mature and respectful (Not looking for people that want to "roleplay" psycho killers or characters that are loners and can't get along with others. No sexism/racism etc. allowed) Players must be able to recognize that things will not always go their way and be able to accept that. - A Roleplayer. If you can't keep yourself in character or are constantly metagaming then this isn't the game for you. If you're a power gamer intent on making your character be the best there is at everything, with no weaknesses or need to rely on other players, this isn't the place for you. If the idea of an entire session with no combat and just people roleplaying hanging out at a park bothers you, this isn't the game for you. - A team player. If you can not only help others in combat but are willing to roleplay to help others have their moment in the spotlight, then this is the place for you. - Reliable. Games are at 12 - 4 PM EST. Sometimes we will stop early if we reach a natural stopping point between 3 and 4, but if this isn't a time that you are sure you have free, then it son't work out. - Cooperative. RP game are about cooperative storytelling. This means that you can't always run off on your own solo adventure and say "that's what my character would do". You have to be willing to build a character who will be in character by following obvious plot hooks, staying with the other players and working to tall your part of a shared story. While the GM will work to incorporate your personal goals and backstory into the game's scenarios, and will even have some whole sessions that revolve around single characters, the game is for everyone to be a part of and work together to enjoy. - Flexible. The rules are guidelines, and I will often employ Both Rule 0 and the rule of cool. Occasionally I will just make shit up. And I will routinely disallow anything that I feel is OP, imbalanced or takes away the challenge or fun of the game. You may be able to, while staying within the rules, construct a power that uses two power points to totally eliminate any threat in the game before it has a chance to even exist and cause danger to you or your friends, with no chance of failure. It might be a marvelous feat of point manipulations, and all it will get is wiped out of existence by me. My primary objective is to let all the players have fun, and this often means ignoring the rules for a moment if the rules would detract from he fun. - Open minded. There's a 90 percent chance your character will be a joker, which for purposes of this campaign will mean in addition to the super powers they have, they will also get some massive physical deformities. Now, the deformities, while always distinctive, aren't necessarily ugly. Some of the current PCs and NPCs are presented here: So, now that we've weeded out the power gamers, meta gamers, rules lawyers, etc. Hopefully what's left are people that want to have fun playing a game that simulates heroic fiction with a small group of likeminded people. You don't need to have read the Wild Cards books or be an expert at Mutants and masterminds in order to join. You just have to be willing to work cooperatively with other people in order to make sure everyone gets an opportunity to have a good time. Apply at the above link. Characters will be selected on how their personality and willingness to roleplay fits in with the existing players.
