Players LF DM-Pathfinder

Hello fellow rollers. I am a member of a premade group of three to four players looking for a DM willing to work with us. We'd like a campaign that ran from 1 into epic levels if everything goes well. I apologize in advance if the following seems overly demanding or common sense, we've been burned by multiple DMs in the past so this is more of a list of things that have caused us to lose DMs that I feel like potential DMs should be aware of. I'm tired of being picked up and dropped as soon as I get close to my characters and so I'm laying out the cards now. We are happy with either a homebrewed or existing adventure paths with one caveat: the group is highly RP and story oriented. We do prefer some flexibility when it comes to our characters interacting with each other and the NPC's. While we understand it's necessary for a campaign to progress please don't expect that to be the only thing we want to focus on. We occasionally would like a well played night in the tavern, flirting with an unsuspecting wench even if it doesn't get us into a dungeon right that second. We would like a DM willing to deal with more mature content. We don't necessarily want to roleplay out every dirty detail. Blood exists, gore exists, things like rape and disease happen and we don't expect you to ignore or gloss over things if they are necessary for immersion into the story. Sometimes our players may ask for a more elaborated description of the NPC's we interact with, in these cases it's relevant to how our character would interact with them. We do have a few members newer to the system, and one who would be a first timer at the table. I understand that this is a virtual table and as such people seem to find themselves unable to dedicate themselves as they would for a real group. We've had several DMs who (despite their assurances that they would not) have left mid campaign without so much as a word of resign or apology. Then again we've also just had them talk to us for a week, have us make characters, then remove us from their friend list the night of the first campaign. We expect a DM to commit to at least a once a week schedule for a minimum of three hours. Weeknight campaigning would have to start around 9pm EST, though most days are available. The only weekend days we can do consistently are Sundays, any time as long as we end by 8pm EST. If the DM (or any of the players) are unable to make it or will be late we appreciate a warning in advance. We'd like a GM familiar and comfortable with the rules of Pathfinder. I'm not saying you have to know everything, I certainly don't, but when a question is asked I'd like a reasonable and knowledgeable response. We're okay with homebrew rules to a certain extent as long as they are realistic and consistent. If existing rules are changed please let us know, likewise if new ones are being implemented. Ultimately the DM's word is law, so long as the law is made clear from the start. Be flexible with races and classes, as people who like to RP we don't always want to be human or elf. If you have some restrictions we understand and are willing to compromise, we know not everyone can be a special flower in reality, but sometimes even if it's unlikely, we'd prefer a party of weirdos. A general warning on classes we'd appreciate if you were open to gunslingers and classes with animal companions or summoners. Do not be a killer DM. We spend time building our characters and go to great lengths to really make them our own, just like you spend time weaving a world into reality. If you have a problem with a build one of us uses for whatever reason don't let the answer to it be flat out unavoidable murder. (Eg. A DM once had a goblin coup de gras one of my characters, while the goblin was still threatened by members of my party. I don't think this in character for the way he had been playing goblins to that point (last goblin standing usually ran away up until that point in the story.) Prior to that he had attempted not one, but two, assassination attempts, one in my Inn room, and one in the campaign equivalent of a hospital while I recovered from the previous. In addition to that, as two of our other players brought in new characters, their last ones having also just died, he sent them on an assassination mission of my character as well. This campaign eventually escalated to almost no RP with everyone trying to power play just to survive. Not fun.) On the other hand, death happens, it's a risk that comes with the job, and handled appropriately we are open to it. We use Skype or Mumble for our campaigns, please have one of these available. We use Mythweavers for our character sheets. Despite the seemingly long and rant-like list of psuedo-demands, we are a group of reasonable people and if you respect us we will respect you. Again, I apologize for the ranting, I feel that most of this is not to over the top to expect from a DM who loves the game and loves to play it. If you're interested please feel free to message me and we can set up a time to meet. Thank you for taking time to consider us and I look forward to playing with you. ~Ari
Damn you are making me tempted to DM another game I already have a concept that did not work, could redo it again, problem is I am in college so it would likely have to be Sunday or today ironically. I have Skype, the concept is moral one, Demons are being wiped out by some unknown threat and they come to humans with ultimaitium you have certain time, or they will siege the city and destroy it.
Unless i read over it i didnt see a time. Depending on when it is i might be interested
I would need to restart it again, but the game still up, just kinda died.
Vernon-I will direct them towards your post to see what they think. I've never played a seige type game before. How long do you think it would run assuming we don't hit the time limit, or we do for that matter? (If I read it right.) David-I don't have a specific time set, though I did make some mention to our schedule. Our group is available after 9PM EST Monday and Wednesday. (I forgot that Fridays were out for one of our members.) And any time before 8PM EST on Sundays.
Well no it was not a siege to begin with, you just had to be willing to ignore your beliefs to help the Demons to find out what was doing this and they knew only humans could handle finding out what it was.
