(D&D 5E) New player looking for a long campaign

Greetings! My name is Jason Govender, I'm from South Africa. I'm a new player to D&D and really want to join a campaign that will be running for the foreseeable future. I am going to need a little bit of help as I'm just starting out, but I'm quick to learn. I'm pretty friendly and won't end up being much of a hassle during a game. I'm looking for a high fantasy world with a rich story and lore. I would prefer a balance between combat and role playing but don't mind it leaning either way. I can do voice chat on Discord but I don't have a webcam for video. Following GMT time, I'm free from 19:00 every day. On Saturday I'm free from about 17:00 and on Sunday from 07:00 to 12:00 as well as from 20:00 onwards.

Well howdy. I like to think I GM well for your... Demographic. That is, the new and inexperienced. My favorite format to work with is Pathfinder, but I can do D&D 5e, no problem. While my stories typically favor story over combat, I wouldn't mind changing it up a bit for ya. The big issue here is I don't have any other players. You would therefore be alone.

That sounds great. I have noticed that there are way too many players on this website and not enough campaigns. If you have a campaign in mind that you would like to run, I'm sure finding a group won't be difficult at all.

The issue I have with doing that is usually I get these tryhards and weirdos who either take it far too seriously, or make stupid characters that break the story completely. So I would prefer it if you had some people in mind, if not, at least help in finding some. :D

Hello there. I stumbled across your post and would like to say that I'm quite interested in playing 5e. I have almost no prior experience in roleplaying, so I guess I fit with the 'demographic'. There are no time issues as I'm able to make time from 17:30-23:00 GMT almost everyday, maybe even a little a bit more if I'm having fun. As for being a try-hard or a story breaker, I don't think that will be much of a problem. I want to play for fun, and I will do my best to respect other players, the GM and his decisions. Howdy. 18 year old high school student, played only 5e but i can learn Pathfinder in necessary either way works for me. I'm in the CET time zone, so that would be one hour ahead of what Jason said, and being a student the weekend times are best for me. As for Discord, i have it but no microphone so i could listen to you talking, but i would have to type until i by a laptop and so on.

Hello! I’m Anna! I fall into this category too, along with three of my friends. We are looking for this exactly and would lol to be a part of whatever campaign you get together. We prefer Thursday evening for scheduling reasons. We are all newer, I having the most experience. We are fast learners and love combat and role playing! Please let us know if you end up doing this!
