Really Dum Question....

What is the maximum number players allowed in a campaign? Is there a max? Did I miss it written somewhere? I am going to be running a game soon and i don't think I know what I got my self into telling people about this site. Eight to nine players is going to be kind of ruff. So I am wondering......

To my knowledge there is no actual maximum. There should be a practical maximum due to technology limitations but I have seen games with that many players so you should be ok. - Gauss
Good to know. Thank you very much.
Well I have just tried setting up a game for 7 players.  Unfortunately I can not give the newest player access to their own character card thing to put their information in.  By this I mean I their name does not come up to list "in player's journals" or "can be edited and controlled by" sections.  We are trying to keep this game very much like one we used to play on the table so I am making sure only the character's controller can see that character.  is this a glitch or simply a not encoded feature at this time?

David, has the person actually entered the game? It should show their name if they have entered the game. Note: joining the Campaign details page does not qualify.  If they have then please send me a private message with the join link and I will join you and we can see if we can fix it in game.  - Gauss
The PAG campage has 75 players as of last accidental viewing. @Dave S, have you tried reentering as a player yourself? If I recall, that is how I (fixed?) that particular problem.
@Gauss Sigh....  I forgot about not meeting certain triggers for the program coding...... my apologies Gauss.  I was very tired and worried.  You see our group has not played with this player for several years.  It was very important that the person was able to join.  In hast I thought of as many ideas as possible to help fix and work around the issue.  The fix was what you suggested.  The Player has physically entered the game and everything is fine now.  I am not found of that trigger but I believe it has good uses.  The main use in helping to prevent clutter from Players that never Physically join.  If a problem occurs involving the other instance you mentioned, I will make sure I let you know about it.  Thank you for your tireless support. @T M.  DAM that is a lot of players, but that Guild Idea is pretty cool.  Thanks for your suggestion.  I tried it and unfortunately it did not help me out.  This was because at the time the player did not physically enter the game, which means the program was never triggered to allow me access to the player. I plan on keeping your suggestion in mind.  If it (helped?) you out, switching between the DM and Player can kind of act like a refresh button, which could be useful sometime.  Thanks for the enlightenment.
2ez. I'm a tech-twit so it may have been sheer coincidence.

David, happy to help. Enjoy your game. :) - Gauss
@T M.  True it might be.  I won't know until I need to try it again.  The more important thing is though you tried to help me out and I am grateful.  Thanks again. : ) @ Gauss  Thanks again.  We played the other day.  Every one seemed to enjoy it. For anyone Just ran this game the other day.  Due to schedules the group was not as large as I expected but we still had fun.  From a GMs perspective, I enjoyed the, what I have come to call, Video game features of Roll20.  The automation allowed by the macros, macro buttons and token bars  just made things a lot easier for me to run a game.  I feel with these features i should be able to run a larger group as well just as easy. No that is not an invitation to other players! : ) Thanks again Roll20 Team for your hard work.  : )
