Winter Snow-day One-shot group

Do you work in the school system? Do you enjoy playing old school RPGs? Would you like to join occasional one shot games on your unplanned days off? Join this open-table game--'They died in the cold.' We will use both some older edition games and modern retroclones. New players are completely welcome.

That fits me, I'm interested. Is the game found in the LFG under that title? Or you just want replies here for applicants? I couldn't find it in "Join A Game". Older edition and retroclones, the ones listed on your profile, all that is good with me. I enjoy one-shots as DM or Player. And I can sometimes play weekdays like snow days.
I've never played any games but would love to learn. Not sure if you really want a complete new person to join in. I'm also not sure what one shot is either lol. I assume it's a game that is played in it's entirety at once. Let me know if I could join.

A one-shot is a game session where you can start the session and come to a finishing point, a game-over point, all in that one day of playing (lasting maybe 2-4 hours or so, usually).  A lot of RPG's you can play in a "campaign" style, which usually means many game sessions on a regular recurring schedule.
