Newbie Looking to try running a game

I've never ran a game before but I'm willing to try now I really don't own a system I can use but I can make very simple mechanics of my own design. I purpose a simple four stat system revolving around use of a D20 much like DnD just very little stats to deal with. I wanna do Magical Girl roleplay that's based off Puella Magi Modaka Magica I mean a mature Shojo(magical girl) game with murder dark conspiracies etc. Or if your feeling really adventurous a game based off Sword Art Online. Now I never dmed in my life nor ran a campaign using Roll20 so.. some help be nice. I also can't use audio chat. I live in EST and I'm free on nights but not Mondays and not sure when my game on here will play again so I'll keep you posted on that.
"I wanna do Magical Girl roleplay that's based off Puella Magi Modaka Magica" *immediately appears from behind nearest curtains or plant pot* Though any RP related to anime is playing with fire in terms of people who'd be interested, so I guess I have reservations. If you're hurting for a system to use d20 is simple and usually deals alright with combat, but FATE might be up your alley. Both are free to grab online and adapt.

While it is not my style of genre, I second what Pishmalk recommended. The FAE (Fate Accelerated Edition) is what you could use. It is a pay what you want aka free for those with little to no money to spare. Fate download page

I think it be easier to just use my own system which is very simple I don't wanna bother reading a rule system and I also hate sing pdfs. Also I prefer Shojo but I can do MMO themed but I must insist we either use a dif setting or edit slightly SaO as I hate melee.
Good luck with that. Green with envy that you are starting your first campaign. I'm sure you will have a great session and be back for more. Please share how you found it and what you want to try next.
Lol thanks I need more then just one person interested however.
i am not generally familiar with the setting, though i am completely new to roll20 and i would love to start playing asap. GURPS Lite is a 30 page rulebook intended for pick-up-and-go playing, though working out your own rule set can be.... enlightening. consider me in, albeit newbish, if you are planning on doing it any time soon.
Okay I'll make a campaign and post a link I however empizise on being petiant as I really never GMed with Roll20 so might have to try and figure stuff out.
this is my first time and i haven't got a clue whats going on
I can't join, but have you looked up a homebrew system called Princess: The Hopeful? It uses nWoD.
I know of it but as far as I know the White Wolf Forums are gone.. And I don't want princesses
If you have never DMed before see if you can get someone to run a short session for you. Just to give you an idea of how to use the tools and what you need to know before the first session. Don't worry about your age, it never stopped me playing or running games. When I think of running a game I create a couple of characters myself. It gives me some pre-made characters to start the first session. It also means I have an understanding of how to create characters. Players always have questions about how to put numbers around their idea of a character. Also think of a reason for why the characters are there and why they are going to do the adventure you had planned. I find it helps if the characters have some kind of connection to each other. Otherwise you could find they don't need to work together as they have too strong a story they want to do that doesn't involve the other characters.
