New Player looking for a game

Returning/New player. I want to get back into the RP world. Played D&D last about 10 years ago. Willing to play just about any class since I've only played a couple.  Campaigns or One Shots. I'm in Central-USA and I work nights. Usually that means I'm free in the afternoons/early evening. But also means I could play "late" (for the time zone) on days I'm not working. 

Do you have any idea what kind of game you are looking for?  Would you be interested in playing in a 4e game?  Or a 5e game?  Or are you looking for things like Vampire or Pokemon?  Got the time zone and game style down, but need a small amount more info.

Fair Enough. I'm looking for preferably 5e over 4e, but I've played both before so could probably catch on to either. And/or the Fate Core system or Apocalypse World. I've been suggested both of those and they seem really interesting. Otherwise I don't really know much about other systems or what would be good to play. I'm open to suggestions or help in that department.

I've got an opening that could fit your afternoon-gameplay schedule, it's currently a series of One Shots called Song World which we will flip into a long-term campaign when we have a consistent group of matching schedule. We played a full campaign on here before that lasted 2 years, 1st Level up to 14th. Game system is based on AD&D 2E with tweaks and streamlining from other editions. Monday afternoons, Central Time roughly 2pm - 6:30. Hopefully that's good timing before you have to get ready for your shift. If so and you're interested, PM me mentioning "Song World".
