Under raging storm clouds, a lone figure stands silhouetted
against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. The vampire Count Strahd
von Zarovich stares down a sheer cliff at the village below. A cold,
bitter wind spins dead leaves about him, billowing his cape in the
darkness.
Lightning splits the clouds overhead, casting stark white
light across him. Strahd turns to the sky, revealing the angular muscles
of his face and hands. He has a look of power—and of madness. His once
handsome face is contorted by a tragedy darker than the night itself.
Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The winds howling
increases as Strahd turns his gaze back to the village. Far below, yet
not beyond his ken, a party of adventurers has just entered his domain.
Strahd’s face forms a twisted smile as his dark plan unfolds. He knew
they were coming, and he knows why they have come all according to his
plan. He, the master of Ravenloft, will attend to them.
Another lightning flash rips through the darkness, its
thunder echoing through the castle is towers. But Strahd is gone. Only
the howling of the wind—or perhaps a lone wolf—fills the midnight air.
The master of Ravenloft is having guests for dinner. And you are
invited.
Hi,my name is Sergii. I'm a designer.I have over 2 year of
DnD experience.I like to play my games as you like your sandwiches:long
and full of content.Basically, I try to modify games to better suit each
individual character. It includes the story and fighting scenes.I have
all available source materials, and some other interesting stuff I
picked from the internet.I try to have good time and ensure that you
have it too.
What should you expect from this game
-I respect all players equally.
-Preparation time usually runs somewhere between 1 and 8 hours.
-Sessions will approximately last somewhere in between 3 and 4 hours.
-A long running campaign, lasting at least 6 months, and it might span to over a year.
-I prefer to say yes and "go with the flow" of the session, keeping an open mind and adapting to my players' ideas.
-Common sense will always best the rules, but when I make a ruling, it's consistent.
-Weekly sessions. I will not cancel more than one session in 2
months for personal reasons, holidays excluded (Christmas, Easter etc.).
I am a dedicated DM who will do his best to run an enjoyable and
regular game.
-50%/50% Combat/RP ratio, subject to change if everyone in the group agrees.
-Incorporation of player backstories into the game, either as a part of the main story or as side story arcs.
-Theater of the mind style for smaller combats that aren't too
relevant to the story; implementation of dynamic lightning during
dungeon crawls and important or large combats, with detailed and dynamic
terrain.
Keep in mind that
This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate
of 10 USD per player per session via Patreon. Roll20 is not responsible
for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private
arrangements.
Why payment you may ask? Having a band of committed players
makes D&D extremely rewarding. Payment is a sort of insurance that
separates those whom like to truly invest time into their character and
world setting, from those who frequently ditch their campaigns.
Additionally, I spend 1 to 8 hours, sometimes more if it's an
important part of the story, to prepare for a single session, which
takes a lot of effort. I prepare handouts, flesh out NPCs, draw maps,
keep up a monthly Roll20 subscription, and try to incorporate my
players' backstories into the campaign with the goal to make playing as
enjoyable as possible for my players. It is nice to have all that effort
appreciated, and it is something you won't find in many free DMs or
games.
So, if you are interesting in all this, just write:
-Your name
-Time and your timezone that feets for you
-And your character of course.
-What playstyle do you prefer?
-What do you expect from GM?
