Greetings! I've been keeping an eye on this thread about indie/story games. There's definitely enough interest around here, so let's get something started.
What
First off, this is exclusively for GM-less Story Games. You can find some examples of these types of games towards the end of this post. So, what's GM-less mean? First, there's no GM, not even a rotating one. Everyone contributes equally to the game. Secondly, no one comes to the table with any premade prep whatsoever - we create characters, setting, everything through a collaborative process. Ok, so what's a Story Game then? Well, they're very different from adventure games like D&D. To say "It's a game that focuses on making a story!" isn't helpful, so how about this: Story games allow a player to influence and affect what happens in game beyond just 'what their character can do'. Often, but not always, this is accomplished by setting scenes to showcase a particular moment in the story. However it happens, the rules give the players the authority to make creative decisions about the narrative directly. That's a lot of power and it can be daunting to come up with something to contribute sometimes. It's definitely not for everyone. However, you might find that the most rewarding moments are when when you realize that everyone at the table is excited to hear what you have to say, or someone else comes up with something on the spot that just blows you away.
Who
Any number of players total, with about 2-5 per game (including myself). No experience required, anyone is welcome! You can learn any of these games, as you play, usually in 15 minutes or less.
When
I'm available in the evenings after 9:30 PM EST / 7:30 PM PST / 2:30 AM UTC on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I'm also available on Sundays most US daytime hours. Here's a timezone converter on Google, if you need it . It would be good to play at least once a week, though it doesn't have to be the same day and time each session, or with the same group
For most games like
this a session usually runs about 3-4 hours. Many of these games can be enjoyed, start-to-finish, in a single session. Several others adapt well to more longform (campaign) play.
Where
We’ll be using
Roll20 for a shared game space and the game forum for scheduling sessions. The games will use voice communication, and we’ll
decide the method (Discord, Roll20, Skype, etc.) by group
consensus. For what it's worth, I've had particularly good results with Discord in the past.

List of Some GM-less Games I Can Facilitate: Microscope Kingdom Follow Downfall Eden Fiasco Mars Colony Dark 39 A Penny for My Thoughts Polaris Perserverant In a Wicked Age Hillfolk Inspectres ...And I'm probably missing a few in there. I also wouldn't mind getting the material for other games (Shock, Durance, Mind of Margret, etc.) if there's enough interest. I've also got a few other games that could be adapted to a GM-less style like In a Wicked Age, Hillfolk, and Inspectres above.
