A Pathfinder game seeking to use the Final Fantasy D20 rules ( http://www.finalfantasyd20.com ) to emulate one of the various FF games and/or play a campaign in their worlds. At the moment, we're seeking to either play a game set in the world of Ivalice based on the interpretation presented by Tactics Advance 1 and 2 as a clan seeking adventure and glory or in the world of Gaia from Final Fantasy 7, seeking to work with and/or as a part of the Turks. In both cases, it would be preferred if the setting is treated as an AU where alternate/original characters may be in positions of power and playing the part of heroes and villains or where player characters can achieve influential standing in the world, both to give our GM and us as players the opportunity to make their own mark on the world without worrying so much about canon and to prevent knowledge of the games' worlds/events from being used to gain an unfair advantage by the players. Counting myself, we have five players wishing take part in this game, with myself and another player having experience with both FF and Pathfinder, one player being familiar with Pathfinder but not FF, one player being familiar with tabletop games but not PF and has limited experienced with FF, and finally, we have one player who is completely new to tabletop games but is very experienced with the Final Fantasy series. A vote will be held between all players and the GM on whether to play in the world of FFVII or Tactics Advance, but for now, it would be best to include in your application what setting/game you would like to play in. As a heads-up, if we use Ivalice as our setting, do not plan to use the Turk prestige class or Materia, while if we use Gaia, it will be case-by-case what magic-focused classes are used in addition to Materia and the Turk prestige class. If we do do Gaia, aiming for the Turk prestige class is not required to join in the fun, it's just those who do use it will be official members of the Turks eventually while the others will be contractors/mercenaries/specialists hired onto the missions of the Turks that just happen to include the Turk prestige class players. Other homebrew rules about classes and magic will be discussed between the entire group. Also, be willing to share your Discord name over PM so that we can start a server and use voice calls on there.
