[Pathfinder] GM Looking for players - Saturdays Starting at 8 PM/EST

Hello to whoever reads this. I've been using roll20 with my friends for a while now, but this will be my first post ever. Fancy that. I'm going to be starting up a Pathfinder game soon and I am looking for some new players. Right now I'm only looking for 3, but that may change depending on my regular RP buddies. I'm going to be upfront here: I have played in and DMed a great deal of D&D 3.5 and a few other systems, but this will be my first Pathfinder game. If you have no tolerance for potential rule flubbing, you need not apply. On the other hand, If you are brand new to Pathfinder or RPGs in general, you are most heartily welcome. Now for a few details: Rules First. I will allow any Pathfinder content except Third Party Sources. Please let me know about any alternate class features you may take so I can plan accordingly. I also reserve the right to veto any class options, though I doubt I will. I prefer to use Skype rather than the roll20 built-in communication system, so take that into account before applying. The setting is Homebrewed and players will start at level one. Player characters will be employed by a small frontier-style settlement that has been set up by the king's orders for the purpose of reclaiming the lands of a ruined and long dead civilization. Characters will be tasked with keeping the land safe and ridding it of the various monstrous threats that stalk the surrounding areas. Players will also take an active roll in shaping the settlement by choosing who to help or not help, deciding what new NPCs will take various unfilled occupation positions, and forming trade agreements which have the potential of generating quite a lot of money. Players may even take positions of governmental leadership, depending on their actions. This small and poor settlement has the potential of becoming a rich and growing town, fort, or even city. The success, or failure, of this new settlement will rely on you . I want to keep this post short so I'm not going to explain the fluff now. If you are interested, please reply here. If you have question about the fluff, include them in your reply and I will answer them.
hey i have played a few 3.5 ed games and would like to give pathfinder a try would you have me?
Building up a frontier settlement and interacting with NPC's in a sandbox sounds interesting to me, and 8 pm East is a workable time most weekends. The Saturday night group I had been playing with used Skype and started one hour later. I have some experience with the Pathfinder rules, and prefer core races/classes and use the Core and APG for feats, etc., My character may be a little plain compared to what others could come up with, but I have neither the time nor desire to pore over supplementary books looking for the maximized build. I generally play humans, and would be comfortable running a cleric, fighter, rogue or ranger depending on the need of the party/interests of the other players. I have played most incarnations of D&D, and sometimes misremember rules that have gone away. My favorite rule of thumb is for the GM not to let the rulebook get in the way of telling the story. If you need to make up something on the fly so we don't spend fifteen minutes checking reference documents, so be it. Just try to be consistent with any adjustments. Details about character build (point buy? traits? starting coin?) would be welcome once you figure out who the players are going to be. LIkewise, anything I need to know to work out character background would be appreciated (I enjoy building backstories, even if nobody else cares, it helps me figure out who the character is and why they are doing what they do...as a springboard, not a straightjacket)
Hi James, I see that you have already gotten three responses here, but I thought I'd throw my name in the hat just in case you end up needing some extras. I am in another campaign with one Wednesday meeting left where I am a Sorcerer, so I wouldn't mind try my hand at a melee character this time around. Sounds like a great concept. Aaron
James, your idea sounds very interesting. I'm game for this. I have never played a Pathfinder game but I do own the core rulebook. I see three people posted before I did, but if you have room for another, please let me know.
I would be willing to play. I like homebrew settings best as it makes for fun times, and am an experienced roleplayer (Pathfinder included). As for potential rules flubbing, the rules are subject to the players and GM, and if they don't want to use them, or alter them, that's fine with me. As long as everyone has fun I am all for it. Of note, I do prefer more RP heavy games than I do combat. 80% RP/20% combat is my favorite ratio. I use Hero Lab for my character generation as it the fastest, easiest way to build a character for me. Plus it affords me more time to work on a backstory, which I am very fond of doing. I am on Skype as GrandMoffVixen if anyone would like to chat with me. I am fairly knowledgeable about the rules (although I am no rules hound/lawyer).
Greetings, I am very interested and would enjoy playing. I have played much 3.5e and have played a few games in Pathfinder. I would really enjoy playing in this campaign. I normally play melee style characters preferably the tank, but am willing to play anything. Pelase elt me know
I am intrigued, and would probably go with a bard, will there be lots of rping?
Hi James, I also would be most interested in this campaign, although I have absolutely no RP experience.. But I have been willing to start for so long. So if you still have a spot and if you would be able to help me out a bit to settle up my character I'd be glad to join in!
hi James I am willing and able, new to dnd and to pathfinders willing to learn and greatly interested in your idea
I am interested. I have played with Troy for some time in another campagain that dissolved recently. I am very familiar with the book rules but not a rules lawyer. I enjoy making interesting characters ( it made Ajax uncomfortable teheh)
Thank you to everyone who has responded to this plea for players. I have sent out messages to my first few picks of people to see if they will officially join. If any of them don't respond or change their mind, I may send out more invites. In any case, I again thank all of you for your interest.
Yes please! Here is a level 1 fighter I have been wanting to try: Wayffon, human polearm master
Any one looking to mentor this new to DnD Pathfinder n00b? Skype is "Scruffythefox"
If you still have a spot I have a few characters to choose from and I can always make a character to suit the party's needs, also help with new players and you if needed.

I'm also greatly interested and have several characters ready (will update later with those listings).
